We rested at the hotel in September 2014. Initially, the hotel made a good impression - a beautiful location, from each room - a view of the ocean, a lot of greenery, chipmunks at every step. . . We were placed in room 14, right by the pool, so I got Wi-Fi in the room as well, although Wi-Fi is available only at the reception and near the pool. They cleaned the room well. In general, everything is beautifully amazing !!! ! But I really want to share an unpleasant incident that happened to us - in the evening (on the eve of the birthday of a loved one, which we flew to celebrate here), we went to the pool, were two meters from the door of our room and left the door ajar to ventilate the room, since the windows do not open and it is stuffy when we returned - the wallet with all the money that we had was gone. In the morning we went to the reception to solve this problem - the hotel manager spoke to us with hostility, searched our room for a long time (allegedly we are scammers), and then said that we were warned to put valuables in the safe and therefore we should not have any claims against them to be. And said there's no point in calling the police. We got through to our guide Marina, but she said the same thing. I understand that we ourselves were careless that we left the money, but we must also have some kind of security in their hotel!!!!! ! They also demanded money from us upon check-out for boards for swimming. Thanks to a huge couple, Alexander and Levon from Russia, whom we met there and who helped us out financially, which allowed us to spend the rest of the holiday as we wanted. Now a little about the rest itself and the environment from the very beginning: the flight is quite difficult - the road from Kyiv to the hotel took almost a day - two flights, a long road from Colombo to the hotel. But when you see the territory of the hotel, you forget about everything - everything is so beautiful. We read a lot of reviews and decided to try everything ourselves - we went to Irina's cafe (on the right, called Coconut). I was surprised how cheap it was - the two of us ate seafood with salads and side dishes for 10-12 dollars. Everything is delicious. Then we decided to go to Madu (about whom we read a lot) - the second cafe on the left on the beach is called Madu's Cafe. We passed Pierre, as his obsession terribly infuriated him, and went straight to Madou. Very nice guy, friendly, delicious food, cheap. His cafe is always crowded, tasty, fun!! ! Interesting excursions (which he organized for us)!!! ! And I want to say a huge thank you to him - after they stole all the money from us, he fed us at his own expense, and also gave gifts home !! ! We still keep in touch with him to this day. I am sending his photo, as Pierre is often called by his name. In general, the rest is very cool, I want to return to Sri Lanka (oh, not to this hotel, although it is beautiful, but the staff disappointed) and once again many thanks to the guys from Russia, and also thanks to MADU !! ! I want to add that weeks are very few, you need to take at least 10 days.
