I read a lot here, and not only here reviews, divided it into two, multiplied it by the same amount - and left. I wanted to cover this coast. Also, the place is really great.
Briefly about the hotel. I had no complaints. No problems and conflicts. Here they wrote something not very good about the administrator Luka, who speaks Russian, so he takes care of "ours". I spoke to him in English, for which I complimented. Pleasant, respectful, positive.
Someone somewhere here called the restaurant at the hotel a canteen. Well, well, let it be on your conscience.
We had breakfast and dinner. The choice is great, everything is delicious. Fine curry of many kinds, dishes in Italian cuisine. I sat down for the national dessert vatalapatan. Other different desserts did not interest me much - I save the figure)
Unfortunately, you don't swim in the ocean in summer. And in winter, they say, the water here is quiet. Some daredevils swam with masks near the reefs to the right of the hotel - we did not take the risk. At least they looked at the sea urchins.
We toured almost everything interesting in the area. Temples, Matara (I found there a very interesting, albeit modest Hindu temple). I advise you to visit Kirinda and Ussangod, at the lighthouse in Dondra. I will present a photo more.
Pierre was often mentioned in the reviews. We took him on a trip to Yalla. (the figure suffered)
We rode with him near the rainforest of Sinharaj. More precisely, they ordered a trip from him. If there were more of us, it would be cheaper. And $ 120 for a car. If anyone is interested in a trip there, I'll tell you more.
The only thing that should have ruined my vacation was that I was hit in the water (! ) By the waves, and we bought a little with the camera. Camera bathing without surviving. ((((
