About the pluses, which are many.
The hotel is really wonderful. No wonder the Germans, French, British, Japanese and other people hang out there. The rooms are comfortable and cute. They are licked every day (even the beds are moved when they are washed). They give out 5 snow-white towels for two for different needs. I asked for an extra pillow and a sheet - they immediately brought it. There is soap, shower caps, small bottles of gel-shampoo-conditioner. We didn't use it, but I think they fill them up when they run out. Because toilet paper rolls were changed from half-used to whole. The room has a refrigerator, air conditioner, fumigator, kettle, cups and spoons. Every day they give out 2 bottles of water (if the previous ones are drunk), they report bags of tea, instant coffee, milk, sugar - all separately. If you need other dishes - I think they will give. There is no hair dryer. I brought mine, never needed it.
Nobody lies on the beach (for some reason it will be lower), they rest under palm trees next to the pool. You crawl out - a beach boy rushes towards you, rolls a sunbed, puts a mattress, covers it with a towel, puts chairs next to it. If necessary, he can let the spare dry off. If the hotel is full, there may not be enough sunbeds. In such a situation, the beach boy put a stack of 2 mattresses in a pile. Later, elderly German women crawled out. Apparently, there are already few mattresses left - they put one at a time. I saw them pointing at our doubles and cursing. Near the pool there is where to wash from salt water and sand. There is a decent toilet. The pool is small, well maintained and clean, like everything in the hotel. Squirrels jump on palm trees, crabs along the shore. Sea urchins, as it turned out, come across not only among the stones under water (swimmed with a mask, saw black prickly monsters). On the last day, I stepped on this dirty trick in the sand. Fortunately, only 3 needles caught. She came out and, limping, went to the bed.

I thought it just hit a rock. A guy from the staff immediately ran up to me, examined my leg and led me to remove the needles. He takes out a huge knife, just right to cut off his leg. Well, I think. . now I will be a skiff. But he squeezed them out with the blunt side of the blade. You can’t take it out, they crumble like corals. Conclusion - take special slippers! ! ! I really liked the food: something familiar to Europeans, but a lot of local dishes. In the evenings, sometimes: sometimes modestly, a few dishes to choose from, and sometimes real debauchery on the ocean, with fish, crabs, and so on. sea reptiles with live guitar and singing. There was always a buffet in the morning without exception. And of course, there are always local fruits and some desserts (the British instilled in the Sri Lankans a love for various puddings). We ate so much that we almost didn't have lunch. We tried food in local eateries and unusual fruits. Yes, you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the restaurant. Local and so expensive, and the restaurant is even more expensive.
What kind is he talking about. Who is cheating in this situation? I tend to suspect the operator. They give a low price with a sea view, people are happy and buy. But it wasn't here. What is paid, they settle there. I figured it out on my return. And then we were dragged to a room on the 2nd floor of the old building, where the staff works under the terrace: rattling dishes, sorting out towels, etc. , etc. And he also runs back and forth along the terrace and is interested in what you are doing in the room . If you left the room, he lifts his head together and examines you with interest. I went to swear (especially since there is essentially no view of the ocean there). I swore in Russian, and my husband did an intelligent and polite translation (((I think the face burning with indignation, waving his hands and a loud voice made the staff suspect that the translation was not complete. As a result, we were taken to show the number closer to the road, where it is very rare someone sniffs in front of the window.
The view of the sea (even if it is partial) somehow smoothly left the agenda. But I didn't let up. And then they explained to us that such rooms are more expensive! ! ! Ok, we dragged ourselves to look. At first, we were presented with a room where a tree grew to the full extent of the window opening. That is, without exaggeration - a room with a view of the crown of a tree! Okay, we don’t want a tree - they took it higher, where it has not yet grown. These rooms are bright, larger and I would be willing to pay 15 USD extra. e. per day, if the windows were somehow opened. But no - the feeling that you are enclosed in an unvented tin can. Plus, construction work has not yet been completed and workers sit on the floors day and night, knocking, painting, etc. From my point of view, because of all these nuances, the rooms in the old and new buildings are equivalent. So why pay more? For a room with a balcony and a really great view of the ocean, which I was hoping to get initially, I had to pay an extra $ 25. e.
per day, which did not fit into the budget. We ended up staying in the old building. That is, you need to close this issue when buying a tour. By the way, through the operator it still turns out much cheaper than through booking. Our 8 nights with flight, transfer and half board cost about 1420 USD for two. e. On booking, only such a room with half board costs 824 c. u. e. But again, if you book through booking, then paying extra for a balcony on the spot is much more profitable. And, by the way, if you pay for a visa via the Internet, it costs 35 USD. e. on the face and do not need to stand in line at the airport.

2. Beach. He is general. No, the locals don't go there. But there live two sellers of beach clothes (by the way, not bad and cheap), stray dogs covered with lichens and sometimes tuk-tuks of different degrees of obsession drop by. All three categories are not allowed outside the hotel fence. Therefore, grandmothers hang on the fence all the time and attack from there. But dogs do not know about the ban.
They are little by little chased by hotel workers, but tourists sometimes feed them, which pushes the dogs to systematically penetrate from the beach into the territory of the hotel itself. Seeing a tourist, they try to sit down in plain sight and ...begin to itch furiously. Therefore, the choice of a tourist is a sunbed by the pool. On the issue of dogs, there is a proposal to the management: get your own dog, well-groomed and healthy, to please the eye and chase strangers. And the last thing: it is worth approaching the end of the hotel territory (and the beach extends much further), right under the wall is a mountain of rotting garbage. Guys, clean it up and make sure it doesn't form again! ! ! This is not difficult, but it has a very negative effect on the perception of the surrounding landscape. Yes, this is already outside the territory, but every single vacationer sees this disgrace!
