The hotel is good, quiet, not for those who like noisy rest. I liked the location - the view of the terrace with the pool and the ocean. A huge plus of the hotel is its proximity to the ocean, about 2m, after 100m there is a place where you can snorkel (there is also equipment rental). We rested in September - we got into the rainy season, but it's not scary, it only rains in the evening (by the way, very warm), at about the same time around 7, at this time it is almost dark. The food is excellent, for breakfast scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fruits (papaya, pineapple, banana, watermelon), fresh juices, tea with milk, bread, buns, jam. For dinner, they feed to satiety, the portions are huge! True, meat and fish were sometimes harsh, and soups were not for everybody. We asked to add less spices to the dishes, because what we understand as "spicy" is insipid for them. As for the room and service, the staff is smiling, ready to help in everything, you can order food in the room. Every day they bring clean towels, shampoo, 2 bottles of water, tea, coffee, cream. Nothing was missing from the room. The room has a TV, we connected 3 Russian channels. , there is a small refrigerator with minibar, kettle, air conditioning. The sockets are 3-pin, but we found a way out, just inserted a rod from the handle into the bottom hole, and then you can insert a regular plug. I really liked our balcony - it's a pleasure to look at the roaring ocean, the sunset, sitting in a wicker chair and chewing fruit. There is wi-fi downstairs, but it catches badly, intermittently. The pool is only until 8pm, but we swam during the day. The water in the ocean is very salty, if it gets into the eye it burns badly, but you won’t get a runny nose for sure! ) Awesome underwater world, we advise you to take masks! If you decide to buy something, you need to bargain, there is a big price increase for tourists, there is a tea shop almost opposite the hotel, but there is cheap tea only for locals, we bought directly at the tea factory, it is much cheaper there. It does not hurt to stock up on coconut oil, which is very cheap there, unlike sunflower oil. Beach-boys walk along the beach and offer inexpensive excursions, they themselves will hire a tut-tuk, we went to Laguna, to a turtle farm and to Galle Fort. The locals are friendly, on weekdays there are practically none on the beach, but on weekends whole families with a bunch of kids swim here, because Hikkaduwa is the safest beach. We were very satisfied with the rest, we liked everything, if we go again, we will stay at this hotel! .
