We came to Sri Lanka for the first time, we went primarily to the ocean and see nature, so we chose a budget hotel. After reading the reviews on "vacation. com" we were very worried about the presence of insects (the wife is very afraid of them) - we didn’t observe any at all, only ants appeared if the leftover food was not removed in time. In general, the hotel is very decent and clean for a 3 *. Upon arrival (arrived at 11:30), we were immediately settled in a room on the third floor overlooking the ocean - the view is simply breathtaking, you see palm trees and the endless blue of the ocean. The room is spacious and clean, white linens and towels, huge bed, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, mini-bar - for 3 * very much. Meals were taken only breakfast - did not regret it even once. The breakfasts are quite normal, they don’t shine with variety, but you can eat tasty and satisfying. For lunch, they ate fruit bought at the market in Bentotta. We had dinner once in a nearby cafe on the coast, it turned out to be very expensive and not very tasty (they took grilled shrimp - a serving of 12 pieces with rice and fries cost 2500 rupees). After that, on the advice of vacationers, we went by tuk-tuk with Pito (a very good tuk-tuk driver who lives next to the hotel (immediately on the right side when leaving the hotel on the road), the state number of his tuk-tuk is 2037 - I highly recommend him to everyone, he doesn’t carry expensive and will tell and tell everything) in Bentotta they bought seafood and cooked it for us there, and in the evening Pito brought us hot with cold beer directly to the hotel. For the amount that you buy in a cafe for one serving, it turned out that two people just overeat. In general, I liked everything, the hotel is good (small and cozy), the ocean is simply mesmerizing, the sun shines 12 hours a day, what else is needed for a wonderful holiday. So do not believe the bad reviews about this hotel, most likely they were written by people who are used to relaxing in 5 * -4 * - they are not here. The only negative we noticed is that there are a very small number of sunbeds on the beach - there are not enough for everyone, we had to get up early to take seats.

Terrible hotel! Were from January 9 to January 19.2014! Cons: dirty everywhere, cockroaches, ants, one towel per person, and if you don’t leave money, they won’t change it, hot water is only during the day, bed linen has not been changed at all, the sunbeds on the beach are ancient, the mattresses on them are old, dirty and full of holes, you can’t ask for a towel on the beach, and if they do, it looks like a doormat. … More ▾ Terrible hotel!

Breakfast - instead of a buffet, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs, green fruits, furniture all dirty, all dusty and dripping. When calculating, check the check, the same dish is written every time at a new price, and beer too.
Guide Lana lost all the time!
Pros: beach, ocean.

Colombo didn't like it at all.
Induruwa has a very chic beach and nature. Directly captures the spirit and this after Thailand. Those. there is something to compare. The hotel is excellent, despite the fact that he positions himself as a 2 * my husband and I liked everything.
Due to the fact that the hotel has only 15 rooms, the feeling that you are in a country house does not leave you. The architectural structure is very attractive: 3 floors, white columns, wooden elements (stairs and decor) and spacious rooms and halls. Very friendly and caring staff. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed. Every day they cleaned the pool - you will not find this even in 5 *. During our stay the hotel was always busy - mostly French and Germans.
In general, great.
As for me, hotels of this kind are much better than chain hotels (large ones).

Choosing a place where to go in January 2012, I really liked the Royal Beach Resort from the photos, but in all these photos the ocean is not calm. Tell me how it is with swimming? Is there snorkelling?
