Traveled a little, for the first time I write a review to save someone's nerves and money. Dear fellow citizens, if you have not been to the exotic before, then it may be fine, but if you have been somewhere (GOA is not considered), then you will very much regret your stay here.
It so happened that my wife and I arrived in Lanka for the first time, waiting for confirmation of the enthusiasm expressed by 90% of tourists. But..... let's start:
1. We flew from Kyiv, everything is fine... there is no food, we took the brakes and medicines - Alco))), they met us at the airport, took us away, immediately hinted that there might be a $ 10 regatta issue with the so-called. early check-in... we were at the hotel at 5 am and immediately demanded money... a trifle but not nice. There is no question of a velcome drink at all, but then the next days we saw that they give it to the rest . . a trifle, but not pleasant... The room is remote (to put it mildly), but we were not interested in it. We had the experience of a wonderful holiday in Thailand, independently moving around the country. There is a problem with this, taking a bike, and even more so a car, is a problem, there are practically no rentals, the movement is extremely heavy. So excursions. . . ! We visited Kandy - complete nonsense: the botanical garden is interesting, the elephant farm would be nice if it weren’t for the creature-driver who, after skiing, pulled my leg and asked for money. I got him 100 rupees, he grimaced and began to wave 500 koi....a trifle, but I would give him on the scoreboard....the spice garden is poor for exhibits (trees, etc. ) but not a badly speaking Russian guide and a few other masseurs, for a really nominal fee, left a good impression of themselves. Next was the tea factory, the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The factory is nonsense, I’ll tell you why below, you can see the temple for a mark... I almost forgot - the greedy creature that is the guide in the temple, rested and knocked down money for renting pareos from some guys from the group. I sent this ego to the swindler in plain text, he was offended, at the entrance to the temple my wife was given a pareo for free and we passed the control. A trifle, but already infuriating....then, in the place where you hand over the shoes for storage, they again demand money, although it is free... a trifle, but it infuriates more...

About the weather: it was generally pleasing, the rain was only in the evening and at night. Mostly cloudy, but the tan lays down nicely. The ocean is always stormy, it is interesting to jump on the waves, it is impossible to swim in the accepted sense.
The area where the hotel stands does not have any evening entertainment, the only stall with alcohol miraculously turned out to be near the hotel. Local cafes are not bad, I liked it in Dulvin. You can buy seafood yourself and in the cafe they will cook it for you, very tasty.
Food at the hotel:.............. all squeaky sounds (which are inserted with mats). There is NO food, but what is there is rubbish. !!!!!
Population: Pleasant good people, if not spoiled by proximity to tourists. Those who work with tourists..... I don’t want to describe it verbatim....they are not good in general. Tomorrow we fly away and it is unlikely that we will come to Lanka again, since nice people demanded money in the morning so that we would not release today at 12 and stay there until 21. Although the tour is tomorrow.
I could be wrong, because you can not draw a conclusion about the country for a week of rest. But I frankly did not understand the previously heard enthusiasm..... oohs and aahs....I was in Turkey, Thailand, the Maldives, but Sri Lanka is a disappointment. After Thailand, go to Lanka in general... you will be upset by all the moments....
