We dreamed of getting to Sri Lanka for a long time, we knew a lot about this country, so the squalor of the cities and the chaos on the streets did not shock us. I drove to the ocean, to the sun and palm trees, and not to look for flaws and condemn the local way of life. Liked the hotel. I don’t know who found the food monotonous and meager. We had a lot of freshly squeezed juices, fruits, several types of ice cream, and there was nothing to say about pastries, meat, fish dishes and salads. Great selection, well prepared and nicely presented dishes. meat is a very rich choice, unlike Turkey and Egypt. Each time there are dishes of lamb, pork, beef and chicken. As well as sausage, smoked and dried meat. It was spicy, but it was on a separate table. If you don't want it, don't take it. The service is excellent, cleanliness and order everywhere, both in the rooms and on the territory of the hotel. The beach is also cleaned, clean yellow sand, excellent bottom. Lots of animals on the territory of the hotel, which I just love. Geckos, frogs and toads, huge iguanas and small lizards, parrots, chipmunks, flying dogs, fish in ponds - all this can be seen daily in the morning or in the evening right next to the hotel. Miracle!
There is practically no animation, but it didn’t bother me, I am a supporter of a relaxing holiday, I have enough animation in my own country, and rest is rest. People on the streets and in the shops are smiling, friendly, they greet and nod to you almost everything, just like an old acquaintance.
In general, I liked it. And negative reviews are usually written by those who have a bad mood or some kind of illness that gnaws. I remember Sri Lanka as a bright, friendly country.
