I read a few reviews and realized that I’m not picky compared to other people)) the main thing for me is the company, so I liked everything in principle, of course there were minuses, but they didn’t spoil my vacation.
I went with a friend, and it so happened that we spent 7 days in tangerine (4 stars) and 3 days in royal palm, well, I think everyone knows that these 2 hotels are on the same territory)).
Tangerine.

We arrived at the hotel after a 9-hour flight with a transfer in a caricature (emirates), naturally we were tired, and on the way to the hotel we drank half a bottle of Malibu for arrival)). They settled us in a few HOURS (probably just someone as lucky))). Everything is fine in the room (again, as for me), a balcony overlooking the ocean, a huge plus of the hotel is probably that every room has an ocean view! the service is very good, the towels are changed 1-2 times a day, the bed every day, tea, coffee too. probably the only thing that pissed me off in the room was the ants. . . it was impossible to leave sweets on the table, so everything had to be stuffed into the fridge). aa . . I also liked that in the hotel almost at every step there are large, as it were, vases with water, on which flowers are laid out every day, it's cool)). the food is normal, desserts for every taste, a lot of fruits and they all naturally differ from ours) it’s a pity that there was little seafood, otherwise everything is ok! everything about this hotel!
Royal Palm
as soon as we went to the reception a girl comes up to us with 2 cocktails (a compliment from the hotel allegedly)). . the interior is cooler than in tangerine, of course you can’t say anything. everything in the room is also very beautiful, only the view from the balcony we had on the pool, that is, you won’t get high with a coffee. the food was much cooler than in 4k . . I was generally pleased with these themed dinners. It was a great Italian evening, there was only one table with fresh baguettes and other pastries, you could get stuck for an hour)). for breakfast there is also a great abundance of puffs of rolls and other cellulite, there is also dietary food. By the way, the service let us down, towels were changed once a day, but the bed never! well, all is well in principle! one thing I understood for sure is that there are no young people at all in the royal palm, mostly couples of aged rest, so everything is very calm somehow.
During the rest, one day an elephant was brought to the hotel, you could ride it and take a picture for 10 bucks (compared to an elephant farm, this is a great price). goes to the spa once, paid 45 bucks for a flimsy massage. cocktails by the pool are very crazy, if you only drink it in the royal palm in the restaurant or in the lounge. what else... excursions at the hotel are expensive, we went with Dylan (he has a restaurant next to the hotel), for $ 40 he took us to a pineapple and tea plantation, we were in some kind of store for precious stones that are mined on the island, and by the way, in no case do not buy stones or products there . . it’s better to walk around some city and haggle there, it will come out much cheaper. one of the days we just went outside the hotel and got into a tuk-tuk, went to another city, talked with the driver, he told us that when the locals see tourists, the price of food rises by two or three, so this kind driver bought us fruits and rum))), be sure to buy Sri Lankan rum . . very tasty and only costs 20 bucks.
