Traveled with family at the end of October. The hotel is excellent, very beautiful territory, a lot of greenery. Vacationers are mostly British, the Germans at the end in early November, a dozen of ours appeared. We lived in the breakfast system, the food is very spicy, which is not surprising, but the locals have already adapted, there are a couple of establishments outside the hotel where they cook not so spicy (Sea Shells, for example). The ocean is not calm, but very beautiful. Swimming as such will not work, but jumping on the waves is a thrill. On the beaches a bunch of "molested" who offer excursions and help for a fee. We went on excursions with a guy named Indy (he owns an Oasis restaurant on the beach). We went to Sigiriya, an elephant orphanage and a yala, the first two to go to the yala are nothing special. The excursions are all long, so it is very tiring, in the case of hotel guides, these excursions combine what turns out to be cheaper, but even longer than with the "molesters" from the beach and stop where you ask. In general, we were satisfied with Indy, he also brought us to a waterfall and a turtle farm, fed us fresh pineapples without any tourist crowds, quietly peaceful beauty. In principle, there is nothing to see outside the territory of the hotel, one huge puddle (at least there was), and the city itself, in principle, nothing surprising or remarkable - our regional center during the market day. Everyone is happy with the holiday.
