As a result, the fears were not justified. The heat is completely normal. Regarding food: initially they only took breakfast, because. We were not sure that the restaurant would have suitable food for the child, but looking closely, we saw that there was enough food for every taste. Accordingly, we bought up to AI (it cost $ 900 for two for 10 days), the child ate and everything was fine. I liked that dinners in the restaurant are themed, i. e. one day it may be an evening of Indian cuisine, another Mexican, the third Sri Lankan, and so on. For seafood and fresh juices, you can go outside the hotel, because. fresh juices are 2 times cheaper there, and seafood is always fresh and inexpensive.
We did not go on long excursions, because. for a child it would be tiresome. We only went by tuk-tuk to the river safari + Buddhist temple + turtle farm (there is a standard set that the locals offer). Both we and the child liked it.
About tuk tuk. Having seen enough of how the local population travels, I was wary of such trips, but we came across a guy named Damik, who drove carefully. We went with him for fruit, and for tea, and to restaurants, and on an excursion. He was not impudent with prices, and he delivered us to normal places, so I can safely recommend him to you. By the way, if you want to go on a longer trip, I recommend using a taxi service, which can be called directly from the reception. Fare: Rs 50/km

Internet. It's free in the hotel lobby, but there are times when there are too many people and the quality falters. If the availability of the Internet is critical for you, then you can buy a card and then you will have access in your room. First, I took an hour to test how it would work specifically in our room (it cost $ 2.5). After making sure that it works fine, I took 20 hours, and with such a purchase, an hour already cost $ 0.8.
Currency exchange. At the airport exchange offices, the exchange rate at the time of our arrival was 125 rupees per dollar. I did not invent anything and I was at the hotel at the rate of 121 rupees per dollar. The difference is not significant, but decide for yourself.
About the railroad and the cemetery. The railway is really not far from the hotel and trains run quite often, but I can’t say that this bothered me in any way. And the cemetery is located across the railway, besides a little to the side, and it looks a little abandoned. In short, it does not interfere at all.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 2.5 hours. This is the only moment on the road when the child was indignant, because. the flow of traffic is quite large and the bus often and sharply slows down.
Summing up: we were very pleased with the trip, but the advice to those who are going to Sri Lanka - do not save money, choose a good hotel, because. the country itself is rather poor and I think that an inexpensive hotel can decently disappoint you.
