Meals - breakfast: standard (fried eggs, bacon, fish, rice. . . , always pineapples, bananas, papaya, fresh juices). Dinner, if bought, costs 1500 rupees, but in cafes nearby you can taste local delicacies for 2000 rupees for two and cheaper, depending on what you order. We went on excursions with the whip-boy Chintaka: he speaks Russian tolerably, he does not cheat, he is punctual. Rain forest + waterfall = $20, Kandy (elephant farm, spice garden, gem factory, silk factory, tea plantations and factory, Buddha temple) - $60. They take the whole day, so near the hotel there is everything (except elephants) in miniature and cheap. Therefore, if you come for a week, then don’t waste time, take a local tuk-tuk taxi and get where you need to for 100 rupees (less than a dollar). Don't forget the Jungle Beach, the awesome lagoon beach in Galle. Fruit is cheap, but you have to ask the price and buy without being accompanied by locals. For comparison: at two points nearby mangoes are 35 and 70 rupees apiece. Shopping - no, because this is the jungle, many suffer from this and go to Galle or Hikaduwa. Turtles come to the beach to lay their eggs, every other day you can watch in the evening. Monitor lizards, chipmunks, monkeys run. The rest was a success and did not regret at all that they had killed so much time on the road.
