We were in this hotel at the beginning of May. The hotel is good, friendly staff. You just need to communicate with people, be sincerely interested in their life, and they respond in kind. Of the advantages of the hotel - a long coastline, many rooms with ocean views, you can hear the sound of the waves, the ability to eat in different restaurants of three hotels of the same chain, standing nearby. Of the minuses - far from shops, markets, restaurants, you need to take a tuk-tuk. Therefore, in our opinion, it is good to take with food, at least breakfast and dinner (we had such an option), since restaurants are far away, and shrimp and fruits from beach fights can get bored. There were no problems with trips and excursions, because they knew from the reviews that everything could be negotiated with local beach-boys. On the very first day we met Chaminda, she knows Russian, with which we went on all excursions, to neighboring towns, to lagoons and different beaches. His prices, compared to the guys standing at the hotel, were an order of magnitude lower. All agreements on trips, price, time were observed, and he always tried to make us some pleasant surprises (treat with coconut, shrimp, etc. ). They have competition there, so they hold on to their tourists. We spent the night in an amazing hotel, where, apart from the staff, there was not a soul around, only gorgeous nature, the sounds of the night. . . We saw so much - that the impressions lasted for a long time. Chaminda ordered local guides in every place (in Sigiriya, in the Temple of the Tooth Relic, in the spice garden), who already told the story in more detail, etc. If about the weather, then May is really not the season. The ocean near the hotel was with waves, but it was they who caused great delight in the child and adults. The ocean is, of course, power and such greatness that you can’t describe it in a nutshell. We also went to the lagoons - they are nearby, including Unawatuna, but there, too, we got tired of swimming in still water and we returned again to the waves. With very young children, it is clear that you will not go into the stormy ocean, so you should choose to relax on a calm coast or be ready to ride a tuk-tuk to neighboring beaches. As a result - a wonderful holiday, I thank the local people, and especially Chaminda, for their kindness and attention to our requests. Sri Lanka is an amazing, warm and beautiful country and will be able to show its beauty to anyone who wants to see it.
