The hotel was chosen based on a very pleasant price (Turkey is more expensive in summer) and beautiful photos in the reviews. The road is really very tiring - 2 flights from Kyiv with a connection in Duba took 3 hours (we traveled with JointUp), while the planes were delayed, as a result, they arrived 2 hours later + the transfer to the hotel took 4 hours. We, adults, were exhausted, it's amazing how people decide to take their children...
Settled quickly, in a 3-storey building. There were no options to move to a bungalow, even with a surcharge, because. the hotel was 100% full in December. The hotel is really 2+, judging by the number, the food is a solid 3k, the beach is 5+.
The room is very modest, with a concrete bed, a table, a bench and cabinets, a small closet, a refrigerator, a small TV set, air conditioning (working properly), a hair dryer and that's it. Cleaning is frankly bad, the shower was not washed stubbornly even once, despite the fact that the water did not drain well and the swamp stood there and stank (((
The food is normal, we took breakfast and dinner, in this hotel this is an ideal option, because. There is nowhere to eat near the hotel. We ate enough, not enough spicy dishes, from fruits - pineapples, bananas, watermelon, papaya, mango, passion fruit, sausep, something else, I don’t even know the name))) We dined either at the hotel (very inexpensive, even cheaper than outside the hotel) or in restaurants nearby ate seafood. We drank Lion beer and Calypso rum of course)))
Well, a separate, most important impression is the OCEAN. He is beautiful!! ! Now all the disadvantages of the hotel and the long flight seem to be insignificant trifles, only the Ocean remains in my memory. In this hotel (and in Koggala Beach and Long Beach) there is a beautiful long empty beach, we jumped and splashed in the waves all day long (ocean +28, air +28). For those who want to swim a little to the left of the hotel, there is a small lagoon where there are no waves, but firstly, it’s not interesting there, and secondly, local youth love to swim.
When we were there, there were no entertainment events with the local population on the territory of the hotel (as they wrote in previous reviews), they boldly used the services of beach-boys, they brought us shrimp, rum, they changed money, went on excursions with them. The pool on site is large, probably 25m, we sunbathed on the territory of the Koggala Beach hotel, 200 meters from our hotel, in the shade of palm trees, had breakfast in their restaurant, swam in their pool)). In principle, the hotels are the same, in Koggala Beach the furniture is slightly better (it is wooden : ), the rest is the same, so in my opinion there is no point in overpaying.
Will we return to this hotel? Hardly. . . There are so many places in the world where we haven't been yet!!! !
