I stayed with my husband at the end of July 2015. This was our honeymoon. The hotel was chosen for a long time. At first we wanted to choose the Tangerine Beach Hotel, but we were bribed by the huge beach and the stunning ocean of Koggala.
And so, exhausted by the long flight and spent nerves (our luggage remained in Dubai), we arrived at the hotel.
The hotel is very good for its level. Before the trip, I read various reviews and went there with conflicting feelings. We were greeted very warmly, treated to a cold fresh juice.
I really liked the room - spacious, bright, large comfortable bed, air conditioning, fan, TV, safe and even a mini-bar! And also - a large balcony with stunning ocean views! For the sake of this, it was worth going through all the difficulties)). There was always hot water in the shower and free WI-FI in the room.

We took food - breakfast and dinner. The food was very tasty, varied, everything is always fresh, but you need to be careful with spicy dishes. I recommend trying it first, and then putting it on a plate. )) There was always a lot of fresh fruit and delicious desserts!
The staff is very friendly, everyone smiles. Towels and bed linen were changed daily. True, they cleaned this way and that, but sometimes they even decorated the bed with fresh flowers. My husband had a birthday, so the guys did their best and decorated the room with flowers. At the meeting, everyone congratulated us, and in the evening we were beautifully set a table downstairs near the pool. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday!!!
I want to say a few words about the guide of the travel agency Join Up! When we arrived at the hotel, we never saw our guide Elena until I called her in the evening from the reception and asked where she was. B/W 30 min. she appeared and, with an amoebic look, began to call the airport, trying to find out the fate of our suitcases. She spoke very sluggishly about the excursions. Basically, WE asked her about different places, and she answered the questions. She had no desire to take any excursion. We didn’t cross paths with her until the end of the holiday, until on the penultimate day we ourselves called to find out when we have a transfer and what time we check out from the hotel (because she didn’t give us this information). To which Lena told us that she did not remember the time of eviction, because. She has many hotels. ?? ! We counted the days and thought that we could safely stay until 18:00 (before the bus leaves). In the evening it turned out that the room had to be vacated before 12:00. And from us at the reception they began to demand an additional payment of $ 30. And we only had $15 left. In general, it was a very unpleasant situation. As a result, the hotel gave us a discount.
Minus the rest - it's beach-boys and tuk-tukers! They are like fish-sticks! As soon as you got rid of one, another immediately appeared in its place. We are very lucky - we met Patum! The person is very delicate, unobtrusive and with a sense of humor! Gave us amazing tours! We were at the highest lighthouse in Matara, which offers amazing views of the island and the ocean; Buddha temple, tea plantation, snake farm, spice garden, amazing mangrove lake with rich flora and fauna, feeding big wild turtles, doing foot massage with fish, communicating with elephants and monkeys, and much more. At the end of the holiday, we ordered 0.5 kg of shrimp and one small lobster from Patum (we didn’t have enough money for more). And he brought us 1 kg of shrimp and 2 lobsters, very tasty cooked. And he gave us memorable gifts about Sri Lanka. Thanks to him for a wonderful vacation and unforgettable excursions!! ! If you want a sea of impressions from Sri Lanka, contact Patum.Hisphonenumber:947-760-991-54, http://vk.com/id277203480. On his tuk-tuk it says - Patum)).
