I decided to start writing reviews about my stay in Sri Lanka while still in the hotel, so as not to forget anything.
The country is very interesting, the local flavor, the people and especially the traffic is something.
Ask me if you should visit this country at least once, and I will answer, 100% YES.
At least just to see its nature, palm trees, the warm Indian Ocean, the mountains with their winding road serpentines.
And now in more detail:
The Indian Ocean is always warm day and night, on a sunny day and in the rain, it seems that its temperature is always + 25-30C.
During the 12 days that I stayed on the island, it rained 4 times for 30 minutes and it did not strain at all, because its temperature is also below 30C.
The beach in Coggol is just great, the cleanest sand and no pebbles, just great!
Unfortunately, you will not be able to swim near the Kaggola Beach Hotel, because there are always decent waves all along the coast, but you will definitely be able to jump and fight with them.

The average temperature that day is 25-30 C at night but I have never overheated during my stay in this country! The heat is almost not felt!
About the hotel Kaggola Beach fully corresponds to 3 *** +, the rooms are in both multi-storey buildings and bungalows and they all overlook the ocean.
However, you can first be accommodated in a room located in the courtyard of the hotel, immediately protest and you will be moved during the day to another overlooking the ocean.
(you can give 10 to the manager so this process will take a maximum of 2 hours). Almost all rooms have WI-FI.
Rooms are cleaned daily, the bed is changed daily and bed linen and towels are all dry and washed. You can leave a tip to the cleaner, I left 50 rupees and he's fine and I'm happy
every day the bed was decorated with flowers. (Wife really likes it : )
The food is fine, I had paid for breakfast + dinner, so I was so fed up that I almost did not want to have dinner and indulged in trips to fish restaurants
just to eat local fish delicacies. I warn you at once, all the food is almost everywhere peppered and decent.
To the nearest inexpensive restaurant is a 10-minute walk from the beach. (Landmark German and Polish flags)
There is also a restaurant in Univatum on the beach right in the bay, very normal prices and delicious cooking, I really liked the grilled shrimp + salad + french fries for only 780 rupees.
From the hotel you will get to any point in Gale, Unuvatuva, Kaggole HERE-HERE, a very cool mode of transport (we would like this in the summer instead of a taxi).
Of the attractions in Kaggol can be noted the local market where very normal fruit prices compared to Kiev so just balls
museum of local identity.
The sun is very strong, so be sure to bring sunscreen and stronger, otherwise you can burn in one day.
If you suddenly decide to buy precious or semi-precious stones here, first find out how much is 1 carat in your homeland. I was in their factory
so there 3.75 carats of grenades tried to fuck us for $ 90, then immediately dropped for $ 60. I still did not buy, I do not like when I'm considered a fool.

You can buy local red rum, nothing, price from 1200 to 1600 rupees. for 0.7l.
Regarding excursions - it is necessary to go at least for one day from 4-00 to 20-00 route:
Kaggola-Kandy-Sigriya (average price 100ue per person). I drove true for 2 days (200 ue per person we were 2 people for the whole minibus but if there are more people
then the price is cheaper than 150 ue per person) with this route is given more time to see all the sights, and
especially the landscapes of the mountains, visited the tea factory at an altitude of about 2000 m above sea level, and the highest point 2200m was a pass-what landscape.
I have never seen such serpentines of roads in the Crimea or in the Carpathians.
I will present the basic prices for tuk-tuk, Kaggole-Gale 500-800 rupees and it is back and forth and you are waiting for as much as you need and take you where you want.
Kaggole-Unuvatva -300-500 rupees, and Kaggol 100-200 rupees.
I will put the phone of the local Beach Boy in it and my tuk-tuk is very expensive. Makesh (Misha) -0774052984 (Mobitel) speaks good Russian. (Greetings from Serhiy and Tanya from Kyiv)
And yet, change dollars at the airport, here is the best rate (113rup-1 dollar) and buy a card of the local operator Mobitel-10ue and on the account at once 800 rupees calls to Ukraine somewhere for 1 UAH-50 kopecks per minute no
roaming and not lying around (30 UAH 1 min entrance and 36 UAH weekend).
If you decide how many days to go so I will tell you so: 7 days only if you sunbathe. 10 days if you go on excursions. 12 days - beach + excursions + take the children so as not to be bored : )
If you want not to dry all day, then for you only ALL INCLUSIVE! since the prices at the bar are decent.
Finally, I will say: the hotel and the country left a good impression on me, there will be an opportunity, you can come again, but already a savage, so it will be funnier.
