Upon arrival in Colombo, having changed clothes, bought a local card and finally smoked loaded into the bus, the six-hour journey, even with air conditioning and a free bottle of water, is still tiring, I got used to the peculiarities of local behavior on the roads on the way. We arrived at the hotel already in the dark, the administrator gave the key to the house and offered to eat after check-in, a nice bonus. The nature and ecosystem of the hotel is truly a paradise on earth: perennial palm trees, lizards scurrying everywhere, monitor lizards and squirrels (by the way, squirrels often come to Russian tourists : ), in general, everything pleases the eye. Of course, there are also disadvantages, which, in principle, are striking but do not strain, the hotel is already old and it shows. Once on the beach, you forget about everything, the magnificent ocean surrounded by palm and mangrove thickets, the even surf of the ocean and almost wild nature, in general, you cannot convey this beauty with censorship words. Having walked along the beach, we found a magnificent lagoon (behind the stones on the left). In general, nature is amazing.
As for excursions - they took a driver with their minibus and drove with him, Candy, Udavalove, Ella Falls and tea plantations. We met within a day, so if you go on excursions to the center of the island, then at least two days. The hotel has mopeds for 15 bucks, we went to Mattara, Gale, Hikkaduwa and just rode around the island. In Tangalle we met Odessite, the owner of Villa Tangalle Lagoon, he has an inexpensive restaurant with VERY delicious food there, after trying the local cuisine in other restaurants, we realized that it is tastier and cheaper not to be found.
