Returned 4 days ago from Ranna 212. The hotel is GORGEOUS, but very far from the airport! We drove there for 7 hours. Outside the window flashed poor little villages and towns, immersed in rich exotic vegetation. When we finally arrived, it felt like we were in heaven. Everyone was immediately handed a lotus flower, seated on comfortable sofas, offered moist fragrant snow-white towels and cocktails with exotic fruits. Just super!
The rooms are wonderful, large and bright. The room has everything you need: el. kettle, hair dryer, plasma (no Russian channels), DVD player with USB support, modern furniture, small bar-fridge, air conditioning, fan, safe
(I was surprised that it is not attached to anything, take it and take it away). The only thing is that the sofa cushions are slightly shabby and we didn’t see it right away. Bed linen is pure white. There were two towels for each, which were changed every day. Some rooms have a bathroom, some have a shower (during our stay at the hotel, we were not replenished with shampoo and soap 2 times). The rooms on the 1st floor offer a wonderful view of the pool (you lie on the bed and admire), but be prepared for the fact that the curious passing by will constantly stare at you through the windows. Therefore, if it will strain you, ask for the 2nd floor. By the way, there are no ocean-view rooms in the hotel, although the hotel is located almost on the shore. Pay attention immediately to the vats of water and a large coconut spoon that stand near each room. The paths on the territory are sandy, the sand sticks and stretches behind the feet into the room. Therefore, before entering, the legs are washed.

The hotel itself is cozy, a lot of greenery, however, on one side of the pool, the palm trees are still young and low. Closer to the beach, the trees are already more powerful, there are more shadows, comfortable sunbeds under the palm trees. The guys are fussing, changing towels. The beach is good, clean, deserted. You can't swim in the ocean, but you can jump on the waves. The ocean is always warm, no matter the time of day. A lifeguard is on duty on the beach - a small, puny kid. He approaches his work responsibly.
If you want to meet jaguanas or chipmunks, visit the clearing near the main entrance to the hotel, next to the security booth. And if you throw pieces of bread into the lake with lilies near the bar, the water will boil from the abundance of fish and turtles. Monkeys, they say, run through, but we personally did not see them on the territory of the hotel.
In the evenings, the hotel is full of relaxation. When it gets dark outside and the lights are on, the hotel looks just gorgeous. We made tea or coffee for ourselves, sat comfortably in wicker chairs near the entrance to the room (by the way, there are 2 entrances in the rooms on the 1st floor) and just went crazy, admiring all this beauty. You could also swim in the pool at night. You can also lie on a lounger near the beach and listen to the sound of the ocean. In general, great! ! Sometimes, for a change, I wanted at least a little animation, which was not there at all. I liked it when there was live music in the restaurant during dinner, nothing outstanding, but still. Only local musicians played not every day.
About food. The child has stomach problems, so I was very afraid that there would be nothing to feed him there. But my fears turned out to be unfounded. There was also very spicy food. I agree that the choice of dishes is not the same as in Egypt, but you definitely won’t be hungry. And fruits, and juices, and sweets, everything was there. Buy a ticket with breakfast and dinner. Everyone who had only breakfast included faced a huge problem where to eat, because. at the hotel dinner for one at least 20 bucks. There is only 1 restaurant nearby, where it is somewhat cheaper, but it has not very good reviews. So it's safer to eat at the hotel restaurant. The only negative is that for dinner all drinks are paid. It's good that you are allowed to bring your own water to the restaurant. Of course, you will have to buy more water, since the small bottle that is given to everyone for a day is not enough, and in the bar 1 liter costs 285 rupees. We also bought water in the village, which is next to the hotel for 55 rupees, walk about 20 minutes. You can go to the supermarket in Tangalle, but there is not much to buy there. Alcohol is sold in special shops (a bottle of beer in the hotel restaurant is 570 rupees). The market is completely unsanitary. There is a lot of garbage on the streets and this garbage along the route along the entire coast. When we returned after any trip to the hotel, we were once again convinced that our hotel was just super!

And you can go to Tangalle by tuk-tuk for at least 1500 rupees. The cheapest tuk-tuker is Gayan - a guy with glasses. His prices are really lower than all the others and you can still bargain. You can do it with the rest too. In order not to lose a client, the price is dropped to the level of Gayan's prices, you just need to know how much and for what trip Gayan takes and boldly call it. So with Ravan we went on a safari for $40 per person, although the original price was $60. But, perhaps, the most cheerful, humorous and very positive is the tuk-tuker Asanka. A natural born tour guide. On the way from point A to point B, we learned a lot of useful and interesting things from him, the main thing is that you know at least a little English. Unfortunately, we only used his services once, as the next day he was admitted to the hospital. We really missed his support. Thank him very much! It was very interesting to travel with him. If possible, send him greetings from Ukraine from Alina's "sister".
About the massage therapist Saman. I read very good reviews about him, but I expected more from the massage (in principle, not bad, but not super).
In general, the impressions of the hotel are only positive! By the way, when we were going on a trip, having seen enough commercials, I really dreamed about Eva Lanka, but it so happened that we bought tickets to Ranna and I was very upset. Since the hotels are relatively not far from each other, I could not help but go to Eva. When I got to the territory, I was a little disappointed by what I saw. On the video on the Internet, the hotel area looked more impressive and more bewitching than in reality. Ranna, on the contrary, is more beautiful in reality. However, there is no doubt that Eve has more lush vegetation than Rann, more living creatures: families of monkeys and chipmunks endlessly dart back and forth across the territory, and the territory itself is larger. I was very impressed by the beautiful picturesque beach - Eva Lanka Bay. But in principle, I realized that I was upset in vain, since both hotels are cool, and in some ways Ranna even wins
(More gloss or something).
Many thanks to the manager of the agency "Let's go with us" on Tymoshenko Katerina for persuading us to this hotel, and to the staff of the hotel itself and the airline "Roza Vetrov" for the fact that our vacation was at the proper level. I can recommend the Ranna 212 hotel for a relaxing holiday.
