Gathered to arrange an official wedding in Sri Lanka. We started looking for a hotel… I liked the Haridra Resort (Wadduwa), they looked at the photos of the rooms and the hotel itself on their website, as well as what services the hotel provides. One of the most important services was the organization of the wedding itself, which this hotel provided. We started looking for reviews on the Internet, but it wasn’t there... we found only one... it didn’t say much about the hotel, it just said a calm, quiet hotel... and that’s it...
Calling the tour operator through which the tour was ordered (only a hotel), he did not say anything specific except that a normal hotel did not say! Nevertheless, we decided to take this hotel, since the tour operator could not tell anything specific about other hotels either... Another such nuance... why they ordered through the tour operator, and not on the official website of the hotel or other sites (agoda, booking). Firstly, the price was cheaper than on the website of the hotel itself, and secondly, the tour operator’s package included a transfer to the hotel and back, which is not unimportant (about $ 100 there and back).
Well, we flew to Colombo airport, we were met by a Russian-speaking guide (he speaks excellent Russian), respectively, we were waiting for an individual transfer to the hotel (car). We got to the hotel for 2 hours (you can get there in 1 hour), we got into rush hour (from 11.00-14.00), after a 9-hour flight, these 2 hours seemed unbearable to us...

I really liked the hotel! We had an Ocean suite, BB food (breakfast only). The room is large, clean, room cleaning 2 times a day, morning and evening, the staff is very attentive, friendly. The rooms are all with balconies and ocean views, there is internet everywhere (wi-fi only at the reception, catches a little by the pool and restaurant), the bathroom is huge, there is a shower and a bath with ocean views. There are French windows everywhere in the rooms… As for the beach, you can say no… you can’t lie on the sand… we always sunbathed by the pool on sun loungers. There is a good beach in the city of Bentota, but you need to get there by car for about 30 minutes (5000 rupees in both directions, 1 ruble = 4.35 rupees). We were satisfied with everything at the hotel... The food is excellent, delicious desserts with fruits! As for lunch and dinner, it costs $ 20 and $ 25 per person at the hotel, you can go to Kalutara (a village next to the hotel, 5 minutes by tuktuk - 500 rupees back and forth). There are many small restaurants, there is a Russian menu, a lot of different seafood, prices are cheaper than in a hotel. Tuktuk can be ordered from local beachboys (Mabu and Karim, they speak a little Russian), you can also order a taxi through them and buy alcohol (it’s expensive at the hotel).
The hotel has 3 types of rooms, Ocean suite, Garden suite (2-storey room with access to the pool), Luxe suite (2-storey rooms with an individual pool overlooking the ocean).
In general, who is going to go to Sri Lanka, book this hotel, do not regret it!
