they decided to spend their honeymoon in Sri Lanka and after a million wedding chores they wanted privacy. when they got to the airport and just did a bus ride around the country itself, they were shocked by poverty and worried about the quality of the hotel. in the travel agency she said that in terms of solitude - this is the very thing. the rooms are only suites, according to the photo everything suited us. Arriving at the hotel, I can not say that I liked everything. empty, quiet and deserted. the rooms are of average cleanliness, everything seems to be ok, but the unwashed windows are very striking, they are large on the entire wall. we lived in a simple category - two-story rooms. cleaning 2 times a day, they make the bed, change towels, everything is super in this regard. then they got used to the number and everything began to suit! the food is not a buffet, but a restaurant food, we had breakfast / dinner. breakfast is a bit repetitive but dinner is very good. at lunch they ate either fruit or went to a sea shell restaurant, very tasty, not expensive (3000 rupees for 2 people without denying themselves anything + 500 rupees for transport). communicated with beach-boys (Karim and Madu live next door, normal guys, you can not be afraid of them, they speak Russian normally). there is no beach as such, but we were in September, the ocean was with waves, we went swimming only 3 times. pool is gorgeous. the staff is attentive, speaks English very well, there are no Russian channels on TV. there is no music in the hotel (meaning in the restaurant, lobby or near the pool). few tourists. no entertainment, animators. . . you need to go or really relax only as a couple or with your company, then it won’t be boring) wi-fi only in the lobby, wired internet in every room. from the excursions we took a safari (6 hours drive, nothing interesting) and kandy (recommended, a good educational tour. . tea plantations, spice garden, elephants. . ) I’m not sure that we will go again to this hotel and to Sri Lanka those who have not been to resorts above this level will do. we ourselves were the first time so far, the most real exotic. Holidays are not for the picky. I think this is an opinion in general about Sri Lanka.
