We traveled as a family with a child (8 years old). First, three days of excursions around the island, and then on the coast at the hotel. Sri Lanka is an amazing country, with a very friendly and cheerful, cheerful population. We read a lot about the hotel, chose for a long time before leaving, and I am glad that I was not mistaken. Quite large, cozy area, everything is very clean. We lived in a building, not a bungalow. The room is very large, with a balcony, air conditioning, hair dryer. Twice a day, our room was cleaned, the beds were made and decorated with fresh flowers (and without demanding any money, as they say in horror films about hotels). The hotel staff is very friendly and always ready to help (unless, of course, you don’t yell obscenities at them in Russian, as our compatriots did, not realizing that the beach towels are over, but they will be brought in 3 minutes. ) Learn English gentlemen. They try to take sunbeds on the beach even if citizens of the former republics of the USSR are not going to come there at all, throwing books or glasses at them, but the beach workers monitor this and if you need a sunbed they will bring it to you (although usually there are a lot of free ones). The restaurant in terms of dishes, tablecloths, furniture is impeccable. This is not Egypt, where after dinner the tablecloth was shaken off and turned over. At the entrance to the restaurant, every time a waiter immediately runs up to you and at any time he will find you a free table. The food was excellent, a large selection of both local and purely British cuisine (after all, a former colony): an abundance of all sorts of mousses, jelly, puddings. Always a choice of fish, meat, chicken. The room has a thermos (tea, coffee, sugar, cups, boiling water can be taken from the restaurant with you to your room for free). The hotel is located in a small town on its outskirts. You can walk to the center on foot (no one will eat and will not ask for money on the way, if you ask, they will explain everything, show and invite you to visit just to see how they live). For those who are not particularly brave or for those who do not like walking, there are tuk-tuks right behind the fence, they will take them - they will bring them very cheaply (400 rupees-110 rubles for 4 hours)
