Just got back from vacation, everything is in order.
So the hotel. We arrived early - at six in the morning (check-in at 12). The room was given almost immediately, but on the first floor. At the request and a small gratitude of 500 rupees (approx. $ 5), we were moved to the third floor at five in the evening (which I advise everyone. We took a superior, albeit with an overpayment, but it was worth it - the view from the balcony plus a hairdryer, a large area and minus the liveliness and noises were without words huge advantages. There was also a TV in the room, but it was of no use - only Indian channels. Air conditioning and fan worked properly, they came every evening with mosquito repellent and changed the fumigator, although mosquitoes were noticed in large numbers did not have.
The staff is smiling, polite, but arrogant, like almost the rest of the local population (almost, not all of them). Give it once - they won't get off your neck. They left 50 rupees every other day - they removed and laid flowers the same way, with a tip, or without. An iron is provided upon request. Water was delivered every day, the rest of the mini bar was empty. The room itself was not the first freshness and did not shine with a cool renovation, but it was not for anything - we only spent the night there.

Nutrition. It also did not differ in wild diversity and frills, but we always found something to eat. Local pepper is on a separate table, but among the common dishes there were enough spices - you need to try. For breakfast, eggs are stable in all kinds and sausages, cereals, fruits. For lunch, one or two soups, pasta, rice in different variations, chicken, fish, meat in one dish. Afternoon at the pool bar - tea, coffee (disgusting, as elsewhere in this country), cakes and muffins. For dinner, something was fried with us, and again a dinner set in other variations.
We had all inclusive (which I also recommend) - local spritz drinks and beer of quite good quality. Eating outside the territory is a little tight - only at Lelik's, everything else is terribly spicy and far away. We met a couple there who had only breakfast - they were unhappy. They were offered to dine at the hotel for 2900 rupees per day ($ 29). So, having overpaid 100 killed raccoons for two, we ate and drank much more. Once again I advise beer - it is very tasty in Sri Lanka.
Beach - no complaints we had. One thing was annoying - the hotel was packed and with sunbeds a bit tight, but, looking for them, they were always there.
Get ready to entertain yourself - with animation dull. Every evening something happens, but sometimes we didn’t even have time to notice that))) There was karaoke (all in English), a disco (an hour or so), a fifteen-minute performance of local dancers, and live music in the bar (we are the only one there once danced)
The territory is large and beautiful compared to other hotels - no complaints. We saw a snake once, a monitor lizard a couple of times, chipmunks all the time.
Excursions - one was taken from the host, two from Dominic (running around on the beach, you won't miss him). In terms of cost, the difference is not significant, but there is. Long-distance trips, like Kandy, are best taken with a Russian-speaking guide, closer - you can do it at Dominic's or at a hotel. I advise you to definitely go to Kandy, and look where else, we were in Galle and on a safari. We were shopping in Colombo - a good House of fasion store - we picked up a bunch of knitwear. Take tea at the factory or in Mlesna stores - the quality and price match.
For souvenirs, you can take a tuk-tuk to Kalutara or buy in Colombo. Across the street from the hotel - expensive, but a bargain is a must. The withdrawal method works in 70% - they say, no, so no, and we leave. They catch up and return.

If you want to buy fruit, rice or spices at home, take a tuk-tuk and go to Panadura to the market (which is near the clock tower). Buy oils, creams, shampoos, etc. in the Ayurvedic pharmacy there. Do not take spices in the garden - they tear up in three ways, we understood this only in a pharmacy for locals.
We went twice to Lelik's - I didn't like the big fish plate, but the top quality king prawns cost a lot of money. You can also buy cigarettes from him.
Words are not enough to talk about the nature of the island - we are all delighted! Ocean, palm trees, exotic. . .
In general, if you do not find fault with trifles and positively tune in, everything will be fine. There will be questions: write, I will answer if I can.
