In general, the hotel is normal for its money. The rooms are certainly not chic and are asking for repairs, but the country itself is not rich. The territory of the hotel is normal, but after sunset (about 19.00) it becomes completely dark and the lighting of the territory is practically absent. We went to Colombo on our own by train (50 rupees a ticket for two one way) - the station is not far from the hotel. Room cleaning does not depend on tips. The market and the store are about 10 minutes walk from the hotel towards the railway station - mango is ok. 30 rupees a piece, some sell for kilograms - (approx. 5 pcs. ) -300 rupees. The weather was excellent - only 1 day of rain, but the ocean is restless. The impression is slightly spoiled by beach-fights and tuk-tukers that constantly pester to "help"....from shops, cafes, jewelers, etc. where they will help you take you, they have from 20 to 50 percent, apart from the fact that they don’t take you for free)) So judge for yourself how to behave with them) In general, Sri Lanka is a purely beach holiday! excursion... as for me (after Thailand) is very weak.
