LITHUANIA VACATION
Thank you so much for all your letters, I didn’t even expect so many people to read my review about holidays in Lithuania!
This is probably the third time I write about my impressions about this country.
It so happened in our family that every year in the spring-summer period we move from Moscow with the whole family to the sea in the Baltic States. And, as always, to Nida (Lithuania), on the Kurzh Spit.
The child has grown up and my husband and I, thanks to his understanding parents, have a great opportunity to continue our acquaintance with Lithuania. True, I want to make a reservation right away, not without the help of local residents or, more precisely, guides. Moreover, for several years, the "collection" of guides at our disposal has been greatly replenished.
Pretty Nida, although I am spending here the third summer in a row, but only now was able to appreciate the city where my parents have been coming for the summer for so many years in a row. Mostly Germans rest in the city, this was their native land until 1939. Thomas Mann (Nobel laureate) also lived here, and here in his house on the shore of the bay there is a museum in memory of this writer. Only unique plants grow on the spit - black pines. And the spectacle at the nesting cormorants will generally amaze the worldly-wise -)) - "horror movie"...
Great bike trails all along the coast. You can start the trip in the morning and return home late in the evening, passing small villages and admiring the beauty of the bay, sculpture parks, Lutheran churches.
We have been in Nida for three months already and managed to make several trips to our beloved Vilnius, and to the first Kaunas we saw, and to the town of Druskininkai with all its adventures. And this is a funny GRUTAS park (if you want to know or remember what the USSR is, you are here! ) For the "crazy", like my beloved husband, the ONE amusement park, only for extreme sports. He (husband) managed to fly 500 meters over the river on a "bungee" - unimaginable!
Kaunas is very beautiful, very. There will be an opportunity, visit. Liberty Alley is a pedestrian street surrounded by ancient buildings. Lots of different temples. The city is small, at the confluence of two rivers Neman and Neris. The city is located on the road from Klaipeda to Vilnius, which is very convenient for seaside vacationers.
Write, I will answer all letters.
