As in Vilnius ( https://www.turpravda.com/lt/_ilnjus/Best_Western_Vilnius-h22851-r465005.html), in Klaipeda a hotel was chosen for an inexpensive price, with a good breakfast and parking for a car. Since the Curonian Spit was planned as the main object for study in those parts, the Ibis Styles Klaipeda Aurora 3 * hotel, which is located almost at the entrance to the so-called New ferry crossing, was ideally suited for the given parameters. It is on it that they are transported by cars. The old one, functioning since 1870, is used only for pedestrians and cyclists.

From the historical part of the city, which certainly deserves tourist attention, this hotel is far away. Walking is possible, but difficult. The hotel advised us to take a taxi. But we decided to take a walk. We got to the bus stop, while we were studying the routes, the bus we needed had just arrived. We got to Theater Square by bus number 9 - 5 or 6 stops, the fare is 1 euro.

Moreover, the driver does not stop if there are no people willing to enter or exit, so the next stop was the Teatro we needed.

As for the location, there is another nuance. And, of course, it must be taken into account when choosing a hotel. In any case, you need to be aware of this. There is a cargo port nearby, and a railway line runs right along the end of the building. And now, freight trains ply on it around the clock, yes, and at night. From the reviews, we knew about this, so we were ready, but we, who are not particularly sensitive to noise, were impressed by this action)). Perhaps because of the always ajar window (it was stuffy for us in the room), with the closed one everything is not so scary. On the attached photos of the views from the room you can clearly see everything.

Ibis Styles Klaipeda Aurora 3* is a new modern hotel. Apparently, its main guests are excursion groups and auto travelers with Scandinavian visas. The hotel has a large parking lot.
Few people know that there is also underground parking, which is also free.

Nice room with simple design. After the previous Best Western Vilnius 4 * (where we came from) Vilnius is clearly simpler, but newer.
Among the shortcomings - poor sound insulation between neighboring rooms.

The bathroom is quite nice. From cosmetics only liquid soap.

It so happened that we spent the night from December 31 to January 1 in this hotel. No celebratory dinner was offered. But if we just want to eat, then we need to reserve a table. But returning to the hotel at nine o'clock in the evening, we fed ourselves with soup and without a reservation. There were quite a lot of suppers, but everything happened somehow non-festively. Therefore, we laid out our meadow in the room and celebrated the New Year in the company of our president from the TV : )).
Since there is no refrigerator in the room (which, in general, is a minus), I had to store the leftovers of the New Year's dinner in a bag outside the window (yeah, like in the old pre-capitalist times in hostels), the room was quite warm.

Breakfasts are decent. Standard porridge-omelette-sausage set, sausages, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, yogurts, sweets, etc. , etc.
The most delicious bread with a charming herring - delicious!
In the hall where breakfast and dinner are held, it is crowded. And with a large number of people, as happened on the morning of January 1, it’s not even comfortable. A little late guests had to wait for a free table. But such a phenomenon, for sure, does not happen every day : ).

In general, Ibis Styles Klaipeda Aurora 3 * is a very good option for stopping for a couple of nights as part of a road trip, for example.
