Location of the hotel. The choice fell on this hotel primarily because of the location. And in this our expectations were justified. Living in the historic center is just great. Everything is nearby. Only churches and castels within a radius of five hundred meters counted seven. And for a week of stay, we managed to get around almost all the nearby restaurants, cafes and bars, and there are many of them in the center.
Upon arrival, the hotel pleased with the beauty and richness of the decoration of the lobbies and corridors. Everywhere carpets, tapestries, vases. On the ground floor there is a fireplace room. It seems that you are in an old building, which has been renovated in the palace style.
The room was small, but quite comfortable. After a four-seater compartment on the train St. Petersburg - Vilnius and a sleepless night, because of fellow travelers and customs, we felt like people. But that was only the first impression.

Soundproofing. As it turned out later, with all the monumentality of appearance and richness of decoration, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor. We were placed in a room on the third floor. And above us was the kitchen of the conference room. And at eight in the morning, the attendants woke us up with the roar of dishes, the noise of an open water tap and the clatter of heels. And when the neighbors drove into the next room, and the noise was added, our patience ran out and we asked to change the number for us. The number was changed to us without further ado and even with understanding and sympathy.
The room on the fourth floor, where we moved, was larger, but the windows were attic, and you could see little from them, but you could hear everything, both what was happening on the street and what the neighbors were doing. Moreover, the ventilation in the toilet was noisy incessantly. The room was completely smoky. Tobacco smoke reeked of all bed linen and towels. But we discovered this only when we went to bed. In general, they ventilated as best they could and reconciled, since there were only two nights left to spend the night.
Housekeeping. As in most Russian hotels, the most "important people" in the hotel are the maids. They are everywhere. Whenever you leave the room or return to the room, you will either see or hear them. They will constantly catch your eye, either with a cart or with a vacuum cleaner. And yet, in the rooms on the table is a paper envelope with the name of the maid. As we understood, this is a hint of a tip. And this despite the fact that the floor in our room was never vacuumed, and the linen was changed on the fourth day. Rave. Well, why, when you live in hotels in Europe, even three stars, you don’t see or hear the staff. And at the same time, the rooms are clean, and the bed linen is changed. And when do they have time to do it?
Breakfast. The buffet has a very good selection of dishes: hot dishes, salads, fruits and drinks. Whether these items will be available when you arrive for breakfast depends on which staff is on duty. If during the duty of one of the waitresses all the dishes that are offered were always available, then when the other waitress was on duty, most of the dishes were not. No, they probably were, but they were not carried out on time. After the holidays, breakfast was until 11.30, but by 10.00 there was no more coffee in thermoses. On our question, the waitress said that the coffee was over.

General impression. The Ramada Hotel in Vilnius is not four-star. Yes, well located, beautiful outside and inside. But there is no feeling that you live in a four-star European hotel. The staff is not trained. In general, the owners have something to work on, especially since Lithuania is now in the Schengen zone, and the European tourist is used to decent service.
