Good hotel. One of the most pleasant memories of Riga. The hotel has now changed its name from "Ramada" to "FG Gertrude". Of the shortcomings - far from Old Riga - 20 minutes on foot. The rest is all positive. In the room: safe, hair dryer, air conditioning (for some reason it worked only for cooling), TV (many channels, there is even a Ukrainian "INTER +"). Pleasant "antique" interior, soft bed with snow-white bedding : ) Delicious breakfasts in a cozy dining room. On the ground floor there is a computer with Internet access and a small lobby with a coffee maker. The reception is friendly, Russian-speaking (although for some reason the e-mail correspondence about booking had to be conducted in English). Practically opposite the entrance to the hotel there is a trolleybus stop number 1, in the quarter next to the hotel there is a round-the-clock bistro "Lido". At the intersection of Gertrudes and Krishtan Baron streets there is a shopping center with a "Rimi" supermarket on the ground floor. In general, in the vicinity of the hotel there are a lot of different grocery stores and inexpensive eateries, not far from the railway station - 10-15 minutes.
I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of living, for three days of staying with breakfast they paid the same amount as they paid for the Oktyabrskaya Hotel (also, by the way, not bad) in Odessa without breakfast. In general, the hotel pleased, I advise those who appreciate comfort and are not afraid of hiking.
