Montenegro 2014 in a convertible!
After our last trip in January 2014, and the active use of a rented car on our last trip to the Emirates, in the summer we wanted to go to Europe and also rent a car. Since there was no desire to deal with visas, we decided to go to visa-free Montenegro. We learned in advance what our travel agency would offer us, but booking and airbnb offers were more tempting. Searched for apartments here: airbnb. ru And here: http://www. booking. com In the first case, there are many more cheaper options, but Booking liked that there are many reviews about the apartments. And what I really like is that all the reviews are real. (You can only leave a review if you actually booked a hotel or apartment through them). So June 4th. It was decided - we fly on our own to Montenegro for 13 nights / 14 days. Via
do" rel="nofollow">Bravoavia, booked plane tickets from Boryspil to Tivat, Windrouse airline, 2 adults + teenage girl 14 years old (counts as an adult) = 814 euros. I looked at offers from other companies, but this particular flight turned out to be cheaper here. Next, I booked an apartment in Montenegro through booking. Apartments Durasevih 2 in Sveti Stefan (1 bedroom apartment (for 4 adults)) with a beautiful sea view and a swimming pool on the territory. to take a car for the entire stay, and drive around the country, with a stop in neighboring Albania, the remoteness from the sea did not bother us at all. The apartments very quickly withdrew an advance payment of 30% of the cost from a bank card. The total cost for 13 nights turned out to be 724 euros Then, I started looking for a car to rent, I found the lowest prices for cabriolets here: www. renta-car. me I chose NEW!! ! Peugeot 308 CC I wrote them a message that I want to book, can they bring car to the airport.
It turned out that all convertibles were dismantled for this time. There was only a BMW 330 cabrio left, from 28 to 2. I booked it for 4 days for 50 euros, with delivery and pickup at the Tivat airport. He asked if there is a green card and whether it is possible to travel to Albania and Serbia on it, he answered yes. When asked what consumption such a 3-liter car has, he replied that it depends on the driving style, but maybe 9-10 liters : ) , the middle class was dismantled. He offered a Mercedes C class of 2011 for 55 euros. The representative of the company also said that he would find out from the partners whether they have convertibles and let him know. Later they answered me “Partners offer wild prices for convertibles. I think you will not be satisfied with such options. » I began to look further. Many sites, mostly intermediary. In international ones, such as http://www. rental cars. com (from which I ordered a car in the UAE) prices are more expensive.
I found a pretty good site for choosing a car (where I also picked up a lot of other useful information about Montenegro, where to go, how it is with traffic cops, rules, fines, beaches, weather, restaurants, etc. ): http://auto-travel. me In general, I ordered a Peugeot 307 CC 2006.2, 0, fur. for 9 days for 55 euros +15 euros delivery to Tivat airport = 9*55+15 = 510 euros. An advance payment of 74 euros was immediately removed from the card and a voucher was sent, where everything was scheduled. The first office did not send anything, did not withdraw any money - the whole contract was just in words. What's better? Big question. To be honest, there were concerns about the condition of both the first and second convertible, after all, the cars are far from new. There was an idea to take an ordinary car, not a convertible, but newer. But I drove these thoughts away, because I tried a convertible in Crete, and realized that for trips along the sea - there simply cannot be a better car! After all, a trip in a convertible is terribly romantic. The wind ruffles your companion's hair.
Her face is beaming with a childlike smile. It's nice to know that you give this happiness to your beloved...

Preparing for the trip: Maps for IGO downloaded here (you must first register): http://w3bsit3-dns. com. en/forum/index. php? showtopic=141926 http://w3bsit3-dns. com en/forum/index. php? showtopic=141926st=280#entry4492874 An IDL is not required for Montenegro, our ordinary rights are sufficient. But I already had an IDP, which I did before my trip to the UAE. Insurance: CASCO or OSAGO. Insurance models are the same as in Russia/Ukraine. With CASCO, you do not risk anything if you were sober at the wheel. With OSAGO, you are responsible only if you are the culprit of the accident. Roads in Montenegro: Expensive roads usually have one lane in each direction. The road surface is very good, turns and serpentines are profiled for a comfortable, but leisurely ride. Therefore, if you do not drive and if the driver feels the dimensions of the car well, there will be no problems.
If the driver is a beginner, then I would advise you to drive only on highways and not turn onto mountain roads without markings. For example, I would not recommend going to Lovcen or Zabljak, or the Crnojevic River. And the coast, the Bay of Kotor, Cetinje, Podgorica will be able to see without problems. Do I need to take out travel insurance: There is no mandatory requirement. Thus, it is up to you. In general, I would recommend that all tourists who come to Montenegro on their own take out such insurance. And it's not even about the money. If something happens, then either the operator of the insurance company or one of the local residents (the owner of your apartment, a neighbor or someone else) can help you organize medical care. In this case, the first will be obliged to do this, but the second - if you're lucky. By the way, the tourist will have to pay all the expenses for medical care on the spot from his own pocket.
The insurance company compensates for all these expenses already upon returning to Russia on the basis of checks and invoices. __________________________________________________ _____________________________ So, June 19.2014. The 2 hour flight with Windrose flew by. Everything is standard - takeoff, lunch, landing. Before landing, the pilot announced that the temperature at the Tivat airport was 11 degrees!! ! ! What caused a heated discussion of this fact in the cabin. We landed at the Tivat airport and noticed clouds in the sky and puddles on the pavement. The reason for the low temperature became clear. The passport check went as smoothly as the flight itself. We waited 10 minutes for the luggage, took it away and realized that the car had to be booked for an earlier time. At 09-50 hours, and the car is booked for 10-30. We leave the airport, and we are already met by the manager of the rental office with a sign! ! ! Class! ! ! We go to the car. The car turned out to be pretty decent in appearance, you can’t say that she is 8 years old. Mileage 122 thousand km.
We looked at and filmed small scratches on video, filled out the contract, paid 100% for the rent, connected the navigator, and go! The road to our apartments from the airport is about 30 km/30 minutes. On the road we passed Budva, Becici, Milocer and Sveti Stefan. Sea! Beautiful! But it seemed to me that it was less beautiful than in Croatia. Although we were in Croatia 4 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=X9i3QE5vhJQ So we arrived at the apartment. We were asked to take a walk until 14-00, because the room was not yet ready. We went to the supermarket in Bar, stocked up on groceries and arrived at the apartment. The apartments turned out to be quite decent, with a gorgeous view of the sea and the island - the hotel Sveti Stefan! https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=ZsexVdziPeU&list=UUUgyIIy57AgWUjSXpB0MYKQ We had lunch, and since it started to rain, we didn't go anywhere else that day. We unpacked our suitcases and unpacked things, tried the famous local wine Vranac Pro Corde - we liked it! The Internet is not very fast, but quite lively - 5.5 mb / s receiving, but the transfer rate was 0.38.
The next day we went along the route: Budva - Cetinje - Lovcen Park - Negosh Mausoleum - Kotor - Budva. The route is very interesting, the road is not annoying. Very beautiful views of the Budva Riviera. Cetinje is a nice town, but there is nothing particularly interesting there. It is the cultural capital of Montenegro. Several museums, temples. The road to the Lovcen park, to the Lovcen mountain is very pleasant, beautiful nature, few cars, clean fresh air. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=ZwTArlFZa_Y&list=UUUgyIIy57AgWUjSXpB0MYKQ There is a very pleasant, high-quality road from Cetinje to Mount Lovcen, to the Negosh mausoleum, through the Lovcen park itself. There are very few oncoming, and actually, passing cars. Open the windows, enjoy nature and breathe in the wonderful fresh mountain air! Not far from the mausoleum there is a fork where you can turn towards Kotor. That is, 2 roads go to the mausoleum - from Cetinje and from Kotor. There is free parking in front of the mausoleum.
It is not big, but when there are no places, the cars just line up along the road. The entrance to the mausoleum itself costs a few euros, there is an observation deck behind the mausoleum, which offers a view of the Bay of Kotor. If the weather is clear, then from the top point you will see the whole of Montenegro! We were not very lucky with clear weather, but in general we really liked the views, well, it was not hot, which is also a plus! https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=vnunAEhXEbs&list=UUUgyIIy57AgWUjSXpB0MYKQ Then we headed towards Kotor. The view of Kotor from the top of the serpentine is simply amazing! ! ! It is something! No words, no photo, no video! Highly recommend (again better in clear weather)! The video clearly shows a special area fenced with a stone ledge. This is exactly the place. Entrance - free - take pictures - don't want to! When we were on this site, thunder also rumbled (you can hear a little on the video) For those who do not have much driving experience, it will not be comfortable on the serpentine, and in some places it may be scary (see photo).
end of video). The road is very narrow in places. But there are a lot of such roads in Montenegro - this is the road to the Ostrog Monastery, and along the Skadar Lake, and to the Crnoevicha River. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=v2zKzulFMU4&list=UUUgyIIy57AgWUjSXpB0MYKQ In general, I liked the route very much. If you are by car, I highly recommend taking this route! A lot of positive impressions are guaranteed for you! In my opinion, this is one of the main routes that are required to get to know Montenegro! To be continued. I will upload the video here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist? list=PLGtvExNDcVqU7L4vbNIHvJnw2qkhzDbnO

Since from the moment of our arrival in Montenegro it was already the second day, and we had not yet been to the sea !!!, the next day we simply had to start from the sea! We decided to go to one of the most popular beaches in Montenegro - Jaz. This is a fairly large sand and pebble beach, located 5 minutes drive from Budva towards Tivat. Not far from this beach are also the beaches of Trsteno and Ploce.
The car can be parked for 3 euros right next to the beach, or a little further from the beach, but for free.
The sunbeds are flat, 8-10-12 euros for 2 sunbeds + an umbrella, but you can sit perfectly and for free, which we did, especially since we were not going to stay there for a long time, besides it was cloudy and it could rain at any moment.
Actually, a pretty clear overview of the beach in this video, in the end you can (if you look closely) even see small fish :):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhHv9I2_IK0
In general, I liked the beach, there were not many people, the water is clean and clear. You can swim with a snorkel and a mask.
Not Egypt, of course, but still there are a lot of fish.
After the beach, we stopped at a supermarket, had lunch in our apartments, and in the evening went to get acquainted with Budva.
In Budva, we left the car in the TQ Plaza underground parking (in the summer months, the cost is 1 euro / hour), and went for a walk along the embankment and into the Old Town.
In the old city, it was not possible to get into the Citadel, because. there was some kind of event, and it was closed until 22-00. But we got there another time, and I will make a separate video about this place. This place deserves special attention! The old town of Budva is not big, in the Venetian style. Stone pavements, beautiful old stone houses with orange tiled roofs. In these houses there are shops and cafes.
You can walk and soak up the spirit of the Middle Ages The yacht "SEA FORCE ONE" was moored on the pier - this is a luxury motor yacht with a crew for rent, the rental price of which is 250,000 euros per week Along the embankment - souvenir shops, restaurants. In general, an ordinary resort town, the same as many others.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIQI7zl_2kY
We took a short walk, bought a fridge magnet in one of the many souvenir pavilions on the embankment, and went home to rest, because tomorrow we had a very interesting trip to the Crnojevica River.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhHv9I2_IK0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIQI7zl_2kY
Мы недолго погуляли, купили магнитик на холодильник в одном из многочисленных сувенирных павильонов на набережной, и поехали домой отдыхать, ведь завтра предстояла очень интересная поездка на реку Црноевича.
