We were in Montenegro for the first time, we chose Budva (a mecca for tourists) and were not mistaken: a beautiful embankment, many tour desks, an atmosphere of celebration and relaxation. If you are with children, it is better to go to quieter places, and for young people, rest is just right. When reading reviews, it's always best to remember that the impressions from a trip (as well as from other events in life) are calculated by the formula Expectations minus Received. Here is the dry residue and there are impressions. Therefore, any feedback must be filtered, both positive and negative. I will try to state my comments, and eight will be useful to someone. The hotel is very decent for its three stars: they clean it, towels are changed, the room has everything you need (refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, hair dryer), and if you're lucky (like us) - even a chic balcony, separated from the roof by a small partition, so consider the floor of the roof is only ours. The floor of the roof means that you have a great view of the sea, mountains and all of Budva. But this is purely a matter of luck. In the standard version, the balconies are small, often with greenery, sometimes without. The room is small but it is European standard. Therefore, it cannot be compared with the scale of Turkey or Egypt, here is a slightly different philosophy of rest : ). The food is quite varied: for breakfast, scrambled eggs, a couple of types of sausages, a couple of types of cheese and ham, a lot of vegetables, a lot of rolls, a lot of different pastries (insanely delicious! ), muesli, butter, honey, etc. We ate so much that until the evening did not want to eat at all. In my opinion, the food is equivalent to a four-star hotel in Prague. For dinner, there are always several types of meat, fish, a lot of different stewed vegetables and side dishes, fresh vegetables, two types of soups and desserts (watermelon or ice cream or some kind of dessert whose name I don’t know). Dinners are very decent, you are sure to find something to your taste. For breakfast there is tea (medium quality)) and coffee (for me, as a coffee gourmet, not very tasty, but for the average person it will be delicious). I do not see the point in "all inclusive", because the drinks at the bar are local and not very high quality. Two words about territory. My husband and I really enjoyed walking around the territory: many flowers, different greenery, white buildings and streets, everything is well-groomed, just beautiful. When you read reviews of the territory, you don’t really pay attention, but in fact we got a huge buzz from this. In the evenings there is good live music, but we most often went for a walk along the promenade. The beach is within easy reach (30 meters), on the beach there are sun loungers and places on pebbles for those who like to lie on their towel for free. Those who could not find a place for themselves, apparently, simply did not look very well, because even at the very height of the season, when we rested, there were places both in the sun and in the shade under pines or palm trees (both with sunbeds and and on grass, free of charge). Near the pool, indeed, all the sunbeds are often occupied, but if you don’t make a tragedy out of this, you can comfortably sit on the wide sides, both in the shade and in the sun. And the swimming pool is valid, with sea water. For me, this factor raises the hotel to the level of three stars with a plus. I won’t be surprised if in three years it will already be four stars. Discos in the room are audible, but we slept with air conditioning due to the heat, so we closed the windows and doors to the balcony. In this state, the disco does not interfere with sleep. And if the windows are open - of course, it interferes. Therefore, with children it is better to go, in principle, to another place, and not to Budva, because there are discos along the entire embankment. For example, you can go to neighboring Becici (it's a 20-minute walk or 2 minutes by bus to Budva) or St. Stefan - there are gorgeous places, a good beach and much quieter in the evenings. In general, we were satisfied. It is possible that next year we will go to Budva again. If you are not expecting the level of a five-star hotel, you will like it too.
