If you want a spoiled holiday - choose Avala! There is already some discrepancy here - a 4-star hotel. At the same time, they try to get the fifth, although the service is two stars maximum. It felt like a roadside motel! Although in terms of cost it is close to 5 * (the difference with the only five-star Splendid hotel in Montenegro is about 150 euros per week). If possible, it is better to pay extra or choose some other 4-star hotel... Now I will share my "impressions".
We arrived by charter at 8.20 am local time. By 9 o'clock we were already taken to the hotel. They refused to let us in - they told us to come to 12. Since it was very hot (more than 35 degrees), it was no longer possible to walk around the old city in jeans and T-shirts for so long (all the cafes in the hotel area are outdoors - there is nowhere to hide), so we decided to come up to 11.30 and sit in the air-conditioned lobby. There was a terrible smell of cement dust in the hall. The hotel was undergoing renovations. No one allowed us to sit in the hall - they asked us to go for a walk. I asked for English. and explained that it was very hot, and my mother had pressure, that we had been on the road since 12 at night (we are not from Kiev)... They "have mercy" and sent us to the minibar. By 12 we were told that the rooms were not yet ready. Wait. At 13.00, the administrator said that you need to wait until 14.00, because. they have such rules - check-in from 14.00. . . At 14.00 the administrator changed and everything started again: wait!! ! When we began to resent, they abruptly ceased to understand us in English. and in Russian (although when the administrator had to explain that we had to wait, she called the Russian-speaking staff), while defiantly speaking loudly about us unpleasant things in Serbian (Serbian is similar to Russian - some things are very clear). I already raised our tour operator. Around 15:00 they gave us the key to one of the two rooms. We are getting up, and there the cleaning has just begun! We booked two rooms with a sea view (for which we paid more than 100 euros for each room). In one room, the sea view is obscured by 2/3 of the wall from the neighboring house (their own complex), in the second it is even worse - by 3/4. What was the money cut off for? The second number was given to us even later. The rooms are disgustingly dirty!! ! It’s a pity I didn’t remove this dust under the bed, furniture in wood shavings! And the plumbing is terrible: it’s impossible to wash in the shower - a short hose, a broken shower switch, water flows from the bathroom to the floor, but there is no drain! In 10 minutes. in the bathroom to see the water on the floor. In one of the rooms there were only one pair of slippers : ), in the other there were no glasses. At my request to bring this: they brought slippers, but they forgot about the glasses. And with towels it’s generally funny: every day they had to be demanded from the administrator: one, then three... At the same time, on one of the excursions, the guide warned: watch out for towels - each costs 30 euros. And in this hotel, towels are always a problem for tourists at check-out... There are only seven of them for two: two napkins for hands, two for the face, and two, probably for the body, although it is 10-15 cm larger than the front and one for legs. They take away to wash, but in return they do not give. Cleaning is done when you come back from the tour. Forced to wait at the door. The bed is not even always made up! Bed linen was not changed once in a week... Two women took slippers from our group when leaving, so they were stopped and forced to pay 10 euros, although they cost 1 euro in a pharmacy! The pool is terribly chlorinated, the towels for the sun lounger are wet, the umbrellas are constantly overturned. When I hurt a woman with this umbrella, so none of the staff did not even help! Toilet paper is over - go ask the administrator. . . And that's not all the charm of this hotel! Montenegro itself left a good impression: beautiful nature, although a somewhat dirty country. I especially recommend the Two Canyons tour.
