In the catalog of the operator in front of the hotel there is a note: "very modest number of rooms" - and this, I confess, is a big nod to "Park" -a. I would not recommend staying here even to "spend the night" - in dry weather, spending the night in the open air on the beach is no worse : ). Well, maybe you can hide from the rain here.
It is noticeable that once the hotel administration made attempts to "ennoble" the living quarters and the reception area, but either the attempts were not stubborn enough, or, as always, there was not enough funding. Spit-stained carpet and broken sofas overshadow such "comfort elements" as air conditioning in the room and free internet in the reception area. There is also no safe in the rooms; you can deposit valuable documents at the reception. Rooms on the first floors do not have balconies. Things are dried on a rope stretched by vacationers along the window or balcony. The hotel also has paid parking. It is sad that due to such "accommodation" some guests may have an unfavorable impression of Montenegro as a whole. Accommodation here belongs to the "budget" category, but it seems to me that the guests of the "Park" should be paid extra and given out "vouchers for enhanced food" for agreeing to come here. Neither the operator nor the administration builds illusions about the state of the "Park" hotel and focuses primarily on the placement of children's and youth groups. But I think not every parent will agree to let their child go here on a foreign "business trip".
I wish you all a pleasant holiday!
*****
Photos and impressions about the hotel were brought from the promotional info-tour around Montenegro in October 2013.
The room - a large number of cockroaches, dirty floors.
In the bathroom - the water in the sink does not drain, there are no shelves to spread out things.
The TV works from an old Soviet antenna, the channels are not caught, and those that are caught are exclusively local.
The air conditioner is very noisy, it is located above the bed, while the pipe from your air conditioner goes to the balcony to the neighbors, and from the neighbors to you, because of this it is impossible to sleep at night, constant noise.
No soundproofing, constant songs in the courtyard of the hotel and in neighboring cafes, one night the concert went on until three in the morning, the reception said that they could not do anything.
The food is disgusting, no variety. There are eight basins with gruel, which you need to scoop with a ladle. No taste, indigestion started a week later. In the restaurant itself, one table is empty, on the second - a salt and pepper shaker, which you need to climb into with your fingers, on the third - two bottles of oil. Fruits are always green, cocoa/tea/milk is always the color of a child's surprise, the only thing you can eat without fear is bread.
The maids start vacuuming in the corridors at 7 am and finish late in the evening, which again causes constant noise. None of the staff speaks fluent Russian and English.
What did you get?
- Villa Park ** 15-20 minutes from the sea and from the PARK Hotel, next to which there was a so-called restaurant (canteen).
- About the villa itself: high up the stairs on 7 tiers there are villas, for the elderly, parents with small children (youth with suitcases? ) and not quite healthy to reach the 7th tier after the beach in...degree heat.
- In the villas, all the equipment is old, the mattresses are full of holes from protruding springs - for information of future tourists. But nothing, they did. But they couldn’t put up with the dirty cleaning of the rooms - they asked the polite cleaners to wash the dirty shower curtains and wipe the middle of the floor of the room every day - no in the corners.
- The restaurant did not have the possibility of washing hands and toilets.
- Dirty open garbage cans all over the city, past which you have to run, plugging your nose.
- A city without proper infrastructure: there is no sewage system, EVERYTHING is lowered into the sea 2 times a day, where you swim between tampons and pads, etc.
- Unsanitary conditions on the Slavic beach.
- Those who lived in 4 * Hotels also smelled from garbage bins open at...degree heat, located near the beach and throughout the city.
- Near the beach there was some kind of purification facility, most likely heavily clogged...
- On the beach, the so-called shower on the sand, where vacationers stood barefoot and washed off from themselves and from themselves...everything possible...
- We got out of the situation: we went by taxi to look for other beaches - everywhere is the same. We bought additional fruit and tea, as the restaurant only ate eggs, bread and butter. But it doesn't matter, but they survived.
- Advice: until a system is made to divert urban waste far into the sea - unsanitary conditions on the beaches and in the sea are dangerous for the health of both adults and especially children. How many years does it take for the administration of Budva and other places of recreation in Montenegro?
- I do not advise anyone who values their health to go there ! ! ! And nature and the sea, when it is without garbage, is magnificent, beautiful! And all this is given to the lazy locals! ! !
Do not be fooled by dinners at the "Park" - money thrown away, given that there are a lot of restaurants and cafes in Budva, where a plate of excellent pasta is about 3 euros, and a piece of pizza with seafood is 1 euro.
On the 6th of June the water was already +23, air +30. To the question "why no one bathes? " the locals answered "it's so cold, it's not the season yet!! ! " On the hotel beach they ask for 5 euros / person lounger, per day, and next to it is the same beach, but the city one - spread a towel and lie on your health (pebbles are VERY small).
It is better not to take excursions from an official tour operator - they simply forgot us with an excursion to Kotor, taking an advance payment of 30 euros from the nose! but. . . where haven't 2 cute single girls disappeared? a proud wave of the hand at the aforementioned road - the bus takes you to the bus station in Budva for free (climb high on foot), 1 euro per ticket - and you are in Kotor (about 30 minutes on the road) - admission is free (1 euro for climbing the bell tower with a view )! At the same price on the central square of Kotor - a glass of "live" beer 0.5 l and salad (shopska or buckwheat salad - swiss for eden euro) : )))
Cetinje + Negush Mausoleum = 15 euros from the snout at the "super-mega-guide" (as it is written on his business card) Branko. Trades on the embankment near the clothing market. In reality, everything is 50% cheaper - you can go to Dubrovnik and Bar (Italy) by ferry. St. Stephen is a fairy tale! From Budva 5 minutes by car, one air is worth something! ! ! And the smallest pinkish pebbles in Milocer. . .
In general, everything is fine - a visa is not required, the people are hospitable, they understand everything in Russian and (so far! ) Treat Russian speakers with respect! Remember, Montenegro is not the kind of country that people go to "all" or to have someone to yell from the pool - 2 gin and tonics, and a schnell ! ! ! Enjoy nature, the warm and transparent Adriatic Sea (without hedgehogs, by the way! ) and the architecture left by the Venetians - believe me, your vacation will not be in vain.
