Podostrog is a hotel that I would choose again if I was going to Montenegro. It has an excellent location, in a quiet courtyard, it is perfect for tourists who spend all day on the beach and excursions, returning to the hotel only for meals and for sleeping.
The tour operator dropped us off at the Alexander Hotel, from where the hotel manager picked us up.
In a small hall, where only the reception and two small sofas fit, we were offered a choice of rooms on the 3rd or 4th floor. We chose the 4th one.
The room is small but cozy. Two single beds, bedside table, table with refrigerator and TV, wardrobe (4 hangers). The shower room is standard. In the form of washing accessories - liquid soap-shampoo over the washbasin and in the shower cabin, shower cap.

We had a view of a neighboring hotel, a small balcony, without a table, with two chairs. If you fall into the rainy season, take rooms on the lower floors, because there is no cover on the 4th balcony, everything can get wet. If you're not a fan of cross-window peeping, ask for a room with a mountain view.
There is wi-fi in the lobby. Catches well.
The hotel is equipped with an elevator, it does not always work properly, so keep this in mind if you eat with people of retirement age.
Not fans of the embankment and noisy cheerful crowd can pass the evenings in the hotel bar.
About food. I would not say that it was delicious, but quite normal food. Breakfasts are standard. There is a choice - boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, some sausages, pickled vegetables (pickles, beets), local cheese, muesli, cereal. Tea, coffee, something a la juice. Exceeded expectations of local fragrant bread.
Dinner also fully satisfied our needs - fried fish (every day the same), all the same pickled vegetables, cucumber-tomatoes, as it seemed to us, poured with a mixture of vinegar and vegetable oil, poultry, meat, a mixture of boiled vegetables, potatoes, etc. . d. For dessert, they offered either some kind of pie or watermelon. Drinks, according to the standard, for a fee. For example, tea - 1.5 euros.
The staff is polite and smiling. Someone speaks Russian, someone speaks English. The manager appears at breakfast and at dinner. Always asks new arrivals where they came from and for how many days. We had a little embarrassment with him - after standard questions, he suggested that we make friends, come to our room, drink a bottle of wine. It's kind of strange, given that the room can hardly fit 3 people, there is no table on the balcony, and we would have to sit on the beds. I think he wanted to lie down. In general, maybe in Montenegro, this is a sign of good taste, but I was brought up in a different mentality, so I had to very politely refuse.
Cleaning was done every day, towels changed every other day. All OK. The only thing I personally didn't like was the towels were rusty and stained. Not very nice.
If you need to iron your clothes, there is an ironing service on the 4th floor. Little thing from 8 cents to 1.5 euros. Self-ironing is not allowed.

The beach is a 10-minute walk through the Alexander Hotel. You cross the road, pass the territory of the Alexander Hotel and you are already at the sea. It feels like a 5 minute walk. Going out to the sea in front of you will be a beach with large pebbles and not very convenient entry into the sea, a little to the left - the pebbles are smaller. If you go left along the embankment, through the tunnel - you will get to the beaches of Becici, about 1-1.5 km. To the right - there is also a small pebble, but it takes a little longer to go to it. Behind the old town there is a picturesque Mogren beach. About 30 minutes walk.
In 2 minutes from the hotel there are 2 supermarkets - Roda and Slavia. Prices are quite normal. Something is cheaper in one, something in another. If you walk from the hotel to the right, you can go to the Green Market with fruits and vegetables, prosciutto and other things, there is also a large Mega Market. The prices are cheaper, but not for everything.
There will be no transfer on the way back to the Alexander Hotel, you will walk with bags, but there is nearby.
In general, quite a decent hotel with normal service, comfortable, as for 3-ki, rooms, and tolerable food.
