Montenegro is cool
I rested abroad this year for the first time. Of course, in connection with the exchange rate jump, I wanted something cheaper, but for the May period, as always, the prices are sky-high. My friend and I searched the entire Internet in search of burning offers, but all in vain. Either you need a visa, or you need a terrible hotel, or you don’t have a ticket, but you don’t have air tickets... We thought that was all, we would have to give up the trip and limit ourselves to barbecue in the country.
Sitting at work in the last working days, I came across an offer from the Alf tour operator to sell charters to Montenegro. Look, the prices are cheap, there are places. You don't need a visa to Montenegro, only a passport. I call, in two hours the ticket for me and my friend is on the desktop. All! We pack our bags.
At first we thought about renting a house on the spot. It's cheaper and easier that way. The airport of arrival was Tivat. We read that from there you can easily get to any resort town and rent an apartment or a villa.
But at the last moment, we decided to ask the Alf tour operator to find something cheap for these dates, and we still found a villa with a mini-kitchen on the edge of Budva.
Arriving there, we were delighted. Despite the fact that this was our first experience of traveling abroad, we still had a minimal idea of comfort. The villa is modest but very clean and comfortable. We lived 50 meters from the sea. There are no insects, the beach is clean, there are few vacationers. The Adriatic Sea is a fairy tale. Too warm water temperature, of course, cannot be called in May. But purity. . . Water is just glass. But at the same time, there was excellent infrastructure around. Special respect to the locals. They are polite, responsive, many speak Russian. It is immediately clear that tourists are their bread. But their kindness is sincere. Always prompt where, what. Thanks to our mini-kitchen, we quickly prepared salads, cocktails and other fast food for ourselves, not depending on restaurants.
We traveled to neighboring cities by public transport. Tickets cost about 1.5-2 euros
