Montenegro liked the Sea, Mountains, Architecture, People
My wife and I decided to go to Montenegro for a vacation.
We chose which way, deciding to save money, chose a bus ride.
More precisely to Chop by train, and then by bus. The train took about 12 hours, maybe less. And the bus - 26. We drove normally, without incident and long stops at customs (there were two of them). When in the morning, at 4 am, we entered the territory of Serbia, the first thing that shocked us was the mountains. They were just incredible. This somehow diluted the road and, in anticipation of a wonderful holiday, it became a little easier to drive ...
Upon arrival at Budva, they settled in a villa. I don’t remember what it was called, but it was exactly the one that we were promised (shown in the photo). Others said that there were cases of settlement in other places, while not the best options (semi-basements, poor conditions).
The only drawback of our villa is that it is located right next to the road where motorcycles pass (fly) at high speeds at night. And closer to the morning vacationers return with songs and cries. After a while it starts to get annoying. The villa itself was in good repair, there was a refrigerator, good plumbing, hot water (there was no TV and air conditioning), but we didn’t order it, because we didn’t go for it.
Meals were not included in the cost of the trip, and those who took it (from our group) said that it was superfluous. They fed a lot (i. e. , just for that money), but the binding was in time, and besides, there are a lot of places around where you can eat well and for different money. For comparison, for one in fast food (like home cooking) - 2-4 euros, in a restaurant 10-20 for two. Naturally, this is an average. The food is quite tasty.
The rest took place on trips around the cities, sightseeing, and of course the beach-sea.
Excursions: on the first evening we walked along the beach and talked to guides who can speak Russian. (It should be said that the host also offered excursions, but they are 20% more expensive). So, having learned what and where to see the next day, we found the bus station and started excursions on our own.
Buses (decent) run around the country and for 1.5 - 5 you can drive the entire coast. So much more interesting, closer contact with the local population. There was a case when they decided to catch a car, as we were told that there were still 2-3 kilometers to the beach (we drove to another city). We were gladly driven by a man with his son from Kosovo, while they did not speak Russian or English, the only thing was that they repeated “Brotherly people” several times. In general, the people are very friendly.
There are many beaches and they are different, city free, paid secluded, beach clubs. T.
e for every taste, after a while you choose for yourself the one that you like the most.
It is interesting to travel by scooter. We drove 200 km. In a day.
In general, I liked the rest, the trip cost 300 USD. e . . It is not clear why tours of 295 are hot tours on this site. Regular bus fare.
Rest is fundamentally different from the Egyptians-Turkeys, more like the Crimea, with the only difference that the nature is simply incredible, architecture, infrastructure is more developed (although not a fountain) and people are glad to see you, and do not look at you like a bag of money .
