And again in Montenegro!
Good afternoon. I really want to share about a trip to Montenegro, the city of Budva. We were there for the second time, learned a lot of interesting and useful things. Where to start? Perhaps from food.
We ate at the famous Kangaroo. I will not tell much, I will give examples of dishes and prices. So, we ordered a lot of things for two: for breakfast, an omelet or scrambled eggs - 3-4 euros a portion, we took for two, tea - 0.50 euros, lemonade - 1.30 euros; for lunch - fish or veal chorba at 1.50 euros for a portion of 200 gr, and meat or fish - the price depends on the quantity and category. We once ordered 2 trout - as much as 9 euros =)) In short, at a time we could eat from 6 to 12 euros for two.
We didn’t go to other restaurants, because we lived in Villa Lumovich, where they had their own kitchenette - sometimes they cooked there.
A couple of times they took shrimp - king and tiger. The first time they took it at the pier, on the way to Stary Grad, where at 17:00 the fishermen sell their evening catch. There are shrimp for 15 euros / kg. delicious, fresh, cook for 2-3 minutes with lemon and wine.
Then we walked to the Maxi market, which is located behind the bus station. There are the same shrimp for 12 euros / kg. Also delicious.
Almost every evening they ate ice cream - they ate up on euros, sometimes 7)))) It's worth it!
We drank Niksicko beer and Vranac wine - yummy! Young wines of Montenegro for 2-6 euros can never be compared with our bottled ones for 50-100 UAH.
Vegetables and fruits were bought in different places, the prices did not differ much. Although, when there was a desire, we went to the Slavia market, towards the Alexander hotel, and they took everything there.
There are no problems with food at all!
About excursions. The owner of our villa - Raiko took us on excursions to Ostrog, Cetinje, Skadar Lake. We paid the money that the agencies offer, but we traveled in a comfortable minibus and there were only 5 of us (not 30 or 20). Raiko stopped with pleasure so that we could take pictures of the beauties of nature. He told a lot what, where, when) I liked it!
I took my neighbors in the villa to Perast, Kotor, Bar.
We went to Kotor, Bar ourselves. Comfortable buses run around the city. Tickets can be bought both when boarding and at the bus station.
I wanted to say about Bar - this city was not impressed. I thought I might choose some clothes - but there are such prices that it’s better to go to Italy and buy everything there. But maybe we didn’t go to those shops)) this. .
I really liked the Ostrog Monastery. It's worth visiting! Such beauty, the very atmosphere. Very cool! Better than our churches.
We went to Dubrovnik. From the bus station, tickets are 13.50 euros one way. Departure at 7.30 am. We drove for 4 hours, because we stood at the border for an hour. I hasten to give advice right away: when you arrive in Dubrovnik, take the bus and go to the Old Town, because the walk is sooo long and hot)) 12 kn travel to the Old Town. After a walk through the Old Town, we rode the funicular - 87 kunas in both directions. Very cool views of the islands and the Old Town. I advise!
We swam on the beach, which is on the left, if you look at the Old Town - there were a lot of people, but the water remained clean.
Another tip - do not buy water) In the Old Town there are fountains, the water in which is very tasty and always cold. We only had time to change the warm water to cool.
Try sweet ice in Dubrovnik - cheaper and tastier than Montenegrin)))
Traveling to Dubrovnik on a regular bus is sooo exciting, because it travels through the entire Boka-Kotor Bay. that is, you can see Kotor and Greceg Novi))
About entertainment. In Budva, on the embankment, they rode on a twister (2 euro ticket each) and on cars (1.5 euro ticket). The rest is either very boring or scary. A little further along the embankment, towards the Alexander Hotel, there is a go-kart - 7 euros / 10 minutes. The guy rode - he liked it very much.
About the beaches. We didn't swim on the city beaches at all! The reason for this was an allergy, which last year haunted the entire holiday.
The first day we went to Sveti Stefan. Drive 10 minutes, cost 1.5 euros/person. On the left there is a beautiful beach, in the first half of June it was almost empty. The water is warm and clean. I really liked it! ! Then we went to Mogren - also nothing, but there are stones on which it was painful to walk without special taps and hedgehogs, the injection of which scares me very much ((((.
Were on Trsteno - a lot of children, because you have to walk 50 meters to be deep. From above - very beautiful: white stone, blue water, straight Hawaii.
Ploce beach - for those who like to dive. You need to go there with a mask, fins. A lot of marine life: all sorts of fish, crabs. When we were there, the water was very cold. A set of 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - 10 euros.
The neighbors praised Kamenovo beach very much, but we didn’t get there))) This is if we go through the tunnel from Rafailovichi.
When we went to Sveti Stefan, we walked to Rafailovici on foot - very beautiful views.
We went through the paid beach of Sveti Stefan, where a path leads up. On it we got to Milocer beach, walked, looked at the price - 75 euros)) Then we went up the path, which led us to some kind of sanatorium. Then we went out to the village and saw the bus. Next - let's go))
They didn’t go to Hawaii (the island of St. Nicholas), last year they were - cool. In this - the legs did not reach)))
What else to tell? ))
About taxi drivers! Taxi drivers really want to make money on tourists and therefore, my advice, if you do not know how much it costs to travel by bus to any point where you are going to go, do not agree to the offers of taxi drivers! They always offer 2-3 times the actual fare. Our neighbors went to Kotor for 15 euros, and we, on the bus, for 6. Is there a difference? So, a couple of times we went to Sveti Stefan for 1.5 euros, i. e. the cost of a bus.
Ask - I'll be happy to answer!
