The very favorable location of the hotel allowed us to always be in the center of events, on average 10-15 minutes to the sea is not far away, and at the same time the body has time to cheer up. We had breakfast mostly in the room, since there was a mini-kitchen, we bought groceries in the local supermarket and in the Ulcinj market. We had dinner in restaurants, it was very cool to dine in the old town overlooking the promenade in the evening when people begin to fill it))
On the sea in the city we went to a small beach and also went to a large beach, quite good beaches with a convenient entrance to the water. Since we were by car, we were able to compare the beaches of Ulcinj and the bar, and came to the conclusion that in Ulcinj the water is cleaner and there are fewer people)))
For children at the hotel there were classes in English and modeling, but in general many people stay there with children, so there is always a company of peers. Most importantly, the hotel is non-smoking.

We didn’t order a transfer from the airport and decided to get to Ulcinj by bus, since they go there every two hours, the bus is air-conditioned, so we quite comfortably got to the Ulcinj bus station where Veronika met us and took us to the hotel. We were placed in 3 rooms with access to a green lawn) The room is nice and bright with a kitchenette. After talking with Veronika, we found out that she is engaged in osteopathy, and we decided to treat our backs with her, we went to sessions every other day, after a cycle of classes, our back pain disappeared and uncomfortable sensations disappeared) While we were treating the backs of our son with the guys who were resting in hotel played different games. and ate cherries from the tree)
From the beaches, we went mainly to the small beach, there is a good entrance to the water and there are many cafes nearby on the promenade))

For a long time we were looking for various options where to stay and in the end we decided that we would write down all the contacts of the hotels and then we would decide on the spot, having arrived in Ulcinj we spent the night in different hotels in turn and then summing up we decided to choose the Zlata Oliva hotel. We had no problems explaining to the owners that we want to rent an apartment for a year, since they were Russian speakers. As a result, after agreeing on the amount of rent and signing the contract, we began to live in our new house. It was cool that in the hotel until the beginning of October there were classes with children, painting, English, tennis, swimming. And the child had no time to be bored, he was always in the company of his peers and probably he would never have made so many friends from all over Russia while living in Moscow. And most importantly, he stopped watching TV and began to do various things more, either sports, or playing with the guys))
You will probably ask where we get the money to rent an apartment for a whole month, everything is very simple, we rented out our one-room apartment in Istria and this money was more than enough for us in Montenegro to pay rent and eat normally, and I also discovered for myself to earn money is not necessary to go to work, but it is quite possible to work at home via the Internet, in particular, I type texts for publishing houses. The hotel, in principle, is not bad, everything in the rooms is done in an eco-style, interesting finds in the use of wood in interior design, what we especially liked was how spacious the rooms are, after those rooms that are found in Russian resorts.
We ate all the time during the rest, mainly in restaurants, since everything was very cheap there, we got about 22 - 25 euros a day
It's also cool that the hotel had good internet, you could watch online TV.
The hotel also has its own parking and a spacious patio, and the owners also offer you services for the selection of real estate in Montenegro.
Sometimes we ate at the hotel, mostly breakfast, because we were reluctant to cook ourselves, and we didn’t want to go to the restaurant.
We rented a small car for 35 euros per day, plus a deposit of 300 euros. which was returned to us when we returned the car, our gasoline expenses did not exceed 100 euros.
In terms of driving, the roads are not bad, in Russia there are worse.
We had a return ticket through Belgrade, and therefore we first traveled by train to Belgrade, once again admiring nature from the train window, and made an introductory tour in Belgrade, so to speak.
In general, I advise you to visit the very beautiful country of Montenegro, and if you have the opportunity to take plane tickets and you want to make an interesting trip, then you can come to rest by train, since there is a quite good train between Belgrade and the city of Bar, we liked it, and no if you fly through Belgrade you don’t need visas, just in the morning an hour or two before arriving in Bar, the customs of Montenegro will knock on you and stamp your passport.

This year, of course, spring lingered both in Russia and everywhere, so the first days were cool, it was still cold to swim, and we drove around this beautiful country until about 6 and admired its nature, it’s great that the country is so small and by car for 7-10 days you can go around the entire coast and see all the landscapes of this beautiful country. But most of all, of course, we liked the canyon of the Tara River and Skadar Lake,
For the last week we were lucky the sun came out, the sea calmed down and we still managed to swim in the sea.
The hotel, in principle, is not bad, everything in the rooms is done in an eco-style, interesting finds in the use of wood in interior design, what we especially liked was how spacious the rooms are, after those rooms that are found in Russian resorts.
We ate all the time during the rest, mainly in restaurants, since everything was very cheap there, we got about 22 - 25 euros a day
It's also cool that the hotel had good internet, you could watch online TV.
The hotel also has its own parking and a spacious patio, and the owners also offer you services for the selection of real estate in Montenegro.
Sometimes we ate at the hotel, mostly breakfast, because we were reluctant to cook ourselves, and we didn’t want to go to the restaurant.
We rented a small car for 35 euros per day, plus a deposit of 300 euros. which was returned to us when we returned the car, our gasoline expenses did not exceed 100 euros.
In terms of driving, the roads are not bad, in Russia there are worse.
We had a return ticket through Belgrade, and therefore we first traveled by train to Belgrade, once again admiring nature from the train window, and made an introductory tour in Belgrade, so to speak.
In general, I advise you to visit the very beautiful country of Montenegro, and if you have the opportunity to take plane tickets and you want to make an interesting trip, then you can come to rest by train, since there is a quite good train between Belgrade and the city of Bar, we liked it, and no if you fly through Belgrade you don’t need visas, just in the morning an hour or two before arriving in Bar, the customs of Montenegro will knock on you and stamp your passport.
