Finally got around to write a little about the hotel - that I managed to remember.
I spat here about Inter, which I had a chance to visit in Taba a year earlier. But my operator reassured me with the words "this is not the inter"...
To be honest, after Egypt, I would not trust this brand anymore. But here the question of the trip was taken last, so where it was free, they got there. And they didn't regret it!
Indeed, there is a service here. Of course, they don’t run after you with a towel to your sunbed, as is often the case in the UAE, but they also don’t throw coffee on your table, spilling the contents. Back in Kyiv, I was assured that the Slavs had not spoiled Mauritius. Maybe that's why the service here is good. But as a result, no one speaks Russian. And there are no Russian-language channels on hotel TV. Mostly French - it is consonant with the language of the natives. Well, English.

I am attaching a map of the hotel, looking at it, I remember what I would like to write. We lived in the extreme building on the right, where rooms 1001 - 1025. On the one hand, far from the main restaurant (13), on the other hand - well, at least a little bit you have to walk! Plus, the pool in front of the window-door (17) - it’s good to take a dip in the morning, and in the evening, hugging your beloved, contemplate the sunset. At night, couples were also seen in the pool. Mainly Asian
The room is good, but the feeling of a wet bed constantly does not leave. In Bali, even dripping from the ceiling, but this was not the case with the beds.
Everything is. Apart from the bath, there is also a separate shower. The hair dryer is more decent than usual, although the same "valera")) The air conditioner may behave suspiciously. But, probably, he is simply not sharpened to work for heating, and more than 23 degrees is not his. Sometimes at night it was cool in a damp bed, so they tried to heat and dry it. Also, the remote from the bed may not "get" to the telly. Internet only through a string and only for money. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby - I rent a point with a socket: if the reception is to the right of the entrance, then the concierge is to the left. Between it and the tables of the tour operators there is an armchair, and behind it there is a socket)))
Room service in the room is ok. Pleased with the presence of a terrace with chairs and a table. On the 1st floor from the terrace you get through the path in the lawn to the pool. In general, there is enough furniture to combine rest with work, as well as invite guests to the room. Great design! The bathroom deserves a separate ode - the designers were not shy. There is even one more telly!! ! But the minibar is empty. The content gets there for a fee and only if you order it to be filled with something. It will not be superfluous to have an electronic mosquito repellant with plates. You can also ask for this at the reception, but you can wait a long time until they bring it.

As for the territory, everything is neat and green. You won’t get photos in the lush tropics here, but in a storm on the rocks you will get good shots. Specially rested in different parts of the hotel - everywhere is normal. Most of all, it is drawn to the bar near the pool 12. But the waiters, with sufficient communication skills, will visit you until the very last sunbed near the restaurant 11. By the way, there is a beautiful tree for photos. Sunbathing under the trees is good here. Sometimes it rains. But even without them, the sun is very active even in cloudy weather, which during this period accompanied us almost constantly. But when the sky was clear, we often regretted that it was not cloudy - it was too hot to go for breakfast, too lazy to go to change towels at point 7...
Here the culture has not yet taken root to occupy sun loungers with towels in the morning. When the hotel is fully loaded, the sunbeds are at a decent distance from each other and you can always find free ones in not the worst places. But in case of rain, the mattresses are in no hurry to save, and after that no one shakes the water off them. Surprisingly, all the umbrellas are on the horizon and stand evenly - beauty. We lower our eyes down - cigarette butts in the sand. It's not sifted here. . .
Artificial rattan furniture is not expensive - either from the Epicenter hardware store, or directly from China)))
There are not many living creatures in the water and it is shallow almost everywhere. The entrance is sand. Both in the ocean and in the pools the water is warm. I took a mini laboratory from home to analyze the water in the pools - the pH is not critically high and... the complete absence of chlorine! Probably, their cleaning method is not built on its basis.
There is nothing here for snorkeling - do not bring fins and underwater boxes for photo and video equipment with you. We will not say anything about diving. As well as about the spa, the gym, as well as about alcohol. They didn’t visit and didn’t use it))) But there were good brands in the ultra-all-inclusive. In the evenings, something happened in the lobby in the upper bar until 23:00 local time, but this also passed us by.
We recommend booking a room in advance if you have a late flight - it may not be possible to do this on the day of departure due to the lack of available rooms.

Not every mobile operator has roaming here ("tel" did not have at that time). And now the biggest disappointment: THERE IS STUPIDLY SINGLE FOOD AND THERE IS NO VARIETY!! ! No, we didn’t come here to eat, but here are a couple of points. More than 5 dozen types of mango grow on the island. We didn't see any on the tables! And those who love vegetables should generally forget about them for the time of rest. They either do not exist, or they do not look fresh... They often come across with insects. In general, expired tomatoes and trimmed cucumbers are the most you can hope for. Well, lettuce and cabbage sometimes...
And so, the hotel as a place for relaxation is quite good.
Something I thought that it would be like the Maldives here. But still no. To find a "bounty" here, you need to get, it seems, to a certain Palm Island (or peninsula). As for the island itself, it is young and small. There is not much to watch, and there is not much to listen to either. Although we had a young guide girl who lived on the island for 3 years. We won’t say anything - the soul is a man: there’s enough for a bag, and he opens the door (on an individual excursion), but he knows little! We decided to spend only one day on excursions, so we didn’t go everywhere. What cars are transported there and for what - look in the information sheet from the scanner. All cars are in good condition, so you don't have to shell out for a high-end car. From where we have not been, we regret not visiting the Botanical Garden - we assume that it is beautiful there. We did get to see a few things:
- the crater of the volcano - just a beautiful hole on the mountain overgrown with dense greenery, which offers a nice view around if you are tall)))

- Jumbo - a megamarket))) They managed to bring us to an ordinary store. We are not shopaholics, but family and friends want to bring something. From what they bring from Mauritius, we decided to take tea and rum. It seems that they are proud of their tea, but when asked about elite tea (in our understanding, large-leaf tea), they are not in the spirit. Consider tea dust the pinnacle in this matter. Taste is appropriate. Rum is also specific - like moonshine. Just in case, I enclose the prices in duty free for the most fashionable Chamarel rum (Green Island, although it is more common among locals because of the price, but it’s not like double distillation or something... ). And checks from the supermarket - it seemed to me that it would be cheaper. 1 euro is approximately equal today to 38 of their rupees, which are almost equal to Russian rubles. You can figure it out yourself, otherwise I'm already tired of writing))
Finally, I want to say that we were met by the tour operator Elite Voyage, which, according to the guide, was founded by a Ukrainian. Satisfied with the service. Not everyone at the airport was wearing wreaths around their necks, but they put us on, took our luggage, helped with the currency and in every possible way surrounded us with care on the way. On the way back, we were dropped off near the VIP terminal (or VIP entrance). There is nothing to compare with, but they went through all the procedures without any hassle. By the way, who wants a VIP lounge, then all this can be bought on the spot.
Well, one more country behind. She did not get into the list of those that we would have gone to again if it had not happened to get into some new region. This does not say bad things about Mauritius and Inter. There are just a lot of places that offer tourists more experiences. Lord, let me finally get to Thailand! Save them from disasters. . .
And Mauritius is good for a relaxing holiday. Full, though!
: )
I wish you easy transfers and a pleasant stay!
PS: On the way to the island, we spent the day at the French airport Charles de Gaulle - at the Sheraton Hotel. Expensive but great. Some slippers are worth!! ! Although later they suspected that even without a Schengen visa it was possible to go to the city... But maybe we are wrong. Be interested in this beforehand!
