For a long time I could not decide on this trip - the distance of the flight was very frightening, but it happened, and I am happy that I visited the Maldives.
I'll start in order. They flew from Kyiv by Arab Airlines, the flight to Sharjah - 4 hours, then to Colombo - 4.5 hours, then to Male - 50 minutes, and the last flight to Difushi Island - half an hour. Arab airlines are budget flights, they don’t provide food during the flight, but you can buy everything, both lunch and drinks (without alcohol), the most expensive lunch is $8, juice is $2, water is $1. Departed from Kyiv at 14:00, and arrived at the hotel at 11:00 local time (the difference with us is 2 hours minus). At the airport in Male, we were met with signs where our names were written, they took away our luggage, put us in a minibus and took us to the parking lot of seaplanes. The seaplane flight is impressive, everyone was given earplugs (very noisy in the cabin), and we took off, at first it was scary, but the view from the window is mesmerizing and you forget about everything. Small islands float below, like pearls on the water, and we didn’t even notice how we arrived. We landed near the pontoon, where the boat was waiting for us, and we were taken to the pier. Don't worry about luggage, it will be brought to your room.
At the entrance to the reception, we were met with cold towels and cocktails, which was very handy (there is high humidity in the Maldives). We filled out the questionnaires and after 20 minutes. were already in their room (house number 228). This is a separate house with two exits: one - to the central alley, the other - to the ocean. The interior is standard: two beds, two bedside tables, two armchairs, a table with a mirror, an ottoman, a TV (1 Russian channel, but many English-speaking channels), a minibar with drinks (for a fee), air conditioning, a ceiling fan (everything worked properly). One note - the walls and ceiling already require painting, but this absolutely does not spoil the mood and relaxation, if you do not get hung up on the shortcomings. I really liked the bathroom and especially the shower in the mini garden. There is a hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo and soap replenished constantly. Cleaned twice a day: morning and evening before dinner, personal towels are changed every day, beach towels - every three days, bedding - every three days, everything is clean, no complaints. Each house has two sunbeds with mattresses, two folding chairs and a table on the veranda. You open the door - and in front of you is the azure ocean, everything is like in advertising pictures, in the same colors, I thought it was photoshop, but it's true.

The food system is a buffet, they fed perfectly (we had a full board), as everything was enough for us: meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits, we tried such fruits that we didn’t even know what they were called, desserts are very good . In the morning all drinks are free, in the evening tea and coffee (instant) are free, in the afternoon all drinks are paid: a bottle of water - 3 dollars, juice - 4.5 dollars, fresh - 6 dollars. We don't drink alcohol, so I won't tell you the price, but you can buy it. In the restaurant, you first need to register with the administrator and you will be allocated a table for the entire stay at the hotel. Everything you buy in a restaurant gets a 10% service charge. You don't have to pay in cash anywhere, everything is credited to your room account, you pay at check-out, it's very convenient. No WiFi, just internet services, 15 min. costs 1 dollar, each next minute - 0.1 dollars. plus 10% service charge.
From entertainment for free: gym, billiards (snooker), volleyball, badminton, sauna, disco, karaoke.
Several times a day, a free boat runs to the neighboring island, where the Sun Island Hotel is located, many people went there for animation after dinner.
In the description of the island, it was said that there are no corals nearby and the bottom is sandy, but from the opposite side of the pier, there are corals and the bottom is littered with their remains, so it is better to have special slippers. We lived on this side. If you sail away from the coast, then you can see whole thickets of corals and a huge variety of fish, an underwater camera is simply necessary, such beauty cannot be missed. I shot until the battery ran out, then put it on charge, we went to dinner, and again into the water. I got great pleasure from the process itself, the pictures were dumped on the laptop, corrected and filmed again. I had a passion - to capture a new fish with each dive, believe me - I succeeded. For those who love snorkeling, this is heaven. A little hint - swim in a T-shirt, otherwise your back and arms will burn, and I managed to burn even my legs smeared with cream .
You can hardly see people on the beach, it seems that there is no one on the island, only in the evening people start hiking around the island. You can walk around the island with a calm step in half an hour, but this does not detract from its merits and beauty, you don’t even notice the airport that is being built nearby, if you don’t purposefully look there, there are no sounds of construction.
In the evening we went to the pier to feed the fish, big stingrays, black-finned gray sharks (they are not dangerous, they do not attack people) and a beautiful manta ray sailed into the light. She soared around like a bird, her "flight" is mesmerizing. And then we went to feed the crabs on the shore, be sure to take a flashlight with you, it's a cool sight to watch them.

The holiday went by quickly. In the evening before 22-00 before the day of departure, we paid for the room, then all purchases for cash. The departure was scheduled for 13-30, we had lunch, put our luggage on the porch of the house, handed over the keys and waited at the reception for an invitation to the pier. At 14-00 we were sent by seaplane to Male airport, on the way we landed near another island, picked up fellow travelers, it's fun to fly.
During the whole holiday left several times for 1dol. rumba, for the delivery of luggage, too, 1dol. (they don’t require, they gave it themselves), the waiter for good service a couple of times for 5 dollars.
