So, in order. We flew with Qatar Airlines with a change in Doha. I am delighted! Airbuses are new, everything works, flight attendants with smiles from ear to ear (they speak only English), the food is delicious (even buns are warmed up, and not given directly from the refrigerator, like ours). Pour!! ! Whiskey, gin, wine. Juices, water, well, that's understandable. The toilet is clean. Soap, hand cream! Everyone who comes out is fragrant with exceptionally pleasant smells! If you want to watch a movie, if you want to listen to music, there are even computer games (on those sides where the screen is on the seat in front). This is all economy class, so that no one has any doubts It was! The transfer in Doha takes place instantly - they boarded the bus - the transit terminal - checking hand luggage - the bus - the plane. For all 30 minutes. Transfer can be treated differently - for someone it's a little warm-up during a long flight, for someone it's superfluous and not required 2 hours. Choose yourself. Transaero flies direct.
Gentlemen! The import of alcohol into the Maldives is strictly prohibited! You will never be let in with bottles or cans of any alcohol!
At the airport in Male, everything is also quite clear - I was met by a representative of the TEZ - I sent it to the air taxi counter - we took our luggage - we got on the bus - we got to the airplane pier - we got a boarding pass - we sat down to wait for our flight, the number of which is displayed on the scoreboard. We waited, however, for 2 hours until people catch up with other flights. There is a cafe with drinks and buns ($ 4 water, $ 6 coffee, I don’t remember exactly, but something like that). The toilet is quite decent. Comfortable chairs for waiting, you can put your feet on a special cabinet.

The seaplane flight takes 45 minutes. This is a chance to see the scattered beads of islands in the vast ocean.
Almost the entire managerial staff of the hotel met us! Everyone smiled broadly, shook everyone's hand. At the reception they gave wet cold towels, which was very useful, they gave us juice. - they carry it everywhere for you.
The size of the island is 150x500m. The hotel is 4 *, not 5, as it is written here. 70 water bungalows, 10 beach ones. We lived in the water one. Very large room, huge bed, dressing table, TV, DVD, a small piece of glass floor, which has two sofas and a table, safe, air conditioning (in our bungalow it worked like crazy and was uncontrollable! It was freezing at night and periodically turned it on and off. When leaving, we left wishes, I hope they will subordinate it). There is a kettle, cups, water, coffee bags, tea bags, sugar, cream. On the veranda, fenced from prying eyes, there are two sun loungers and a descent into the water. Cleaning twice a day (I think it's superfluous! ). If you are not indifferent to the environment, which means you are thinking about a limited supply of fresh water on earth, before leaving the room you can put a special sign on the bed saying that you do not need to change bed linen. If you hang towels and not throw them, this also means that today you will do without new towels.
The water bungalow is very cool, BUT cowards and impressionable people like me need to think carefully before choosing it. These bungalows are located about 150 meters from the place where the island's shallows end and the depth and power begin. Pretty decent waves roll in there with noise Nothing during the day, but at night, when you can’t see anything, the feeling is that these waves are already falling on your bungalow. And the night rains, which are not uncommon from April to October, escalate this horror with incredible force, hitting the tarpaulin roof! But there is another side - right from the veranda you can see the vast expanse of the ocean, fish and other marine inhabitants swim.

About food. System "all inclusive" -buffet. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, two snacks (which we never used). Everything is delicious. There were a lot of vegetables (there were even beets with radishes! ). Pork (even though they don’t eat it themselves), beef, lamb, chicken. They don’t know how to cook meat, unless it’s tough meatballs. I think this is because they themselves do not eat as much as we do (this is my unverified assumption). Despite the huge amount of marine life around, you will not see it on the table. Some fish (not always tasty) and a couple of times a few small shrimps and squids in rice. We were very pleased with their ability to quite talentedly process the food left the day before. It's no secret that there are a lot of uneaten foods left, which, of course, no one throws away. But to cook them in such a way that it is not only not disgusting to eat them (as often happens in hotels in Turkey and Egypt), but also delicious - this is a skill, which local chefs are fully versed in.
Fruits are always pineapples (amazing!!! ), apples; often oranges, bananas, papaya, watermelon. Passiflora a couple of times. Desserts are delicious!
During dinner, a cook periodically cooks and cooks chic king prawns (50g - $ 5). 15 pieces cost us $ 75, french fries as a side dish. With a beer for two, this is quite a full dinner, if you are not a fan of overeating. Very tasty.
On the island there is a restaurant serving "a la carte", i. e. on the menu. It offers the cuisine of the peoples of the world according to your desire. Of course, this is for an additional fee.
You can also order a candlelit dinner in a secluded place, dinner with a lobster. It will cost 200-250 dollars per pair.
Free drinks - beer, whiskey, gin, rum, white wine, red wine, water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, some cocktails. Cappuccino, champagne, for example, for money. You can drink only in the restaurant or bar. If you take a can of beer to your room, it's already for the money. Free water and cola in the minibar.
This is a vacation for two. To transfer children to the other side of the world, in my deep conviction, is stupid. The scorching sun, unusual food, adaptation. You will not be able to enjoy the rest yourself and the children will do more harm than good. Yes, and think about others - Lovers, newlyweds, couples with experience go to the Maldives and they go there to enjoy each other and the beauty of nature in a calm, peaceful atmosphere without childish fuss and screams. If there is no one to leave your offspring to now, wait until such an opportunity arises. True, is it worth paying a lot of money so that instead of contemplating the most beautiful, unique nature and making love, take care that your child does not get burned, poisoned, does not step on sharp coral, etc.

The hotel offers several excursions. Dolphin safari - $50/person. You are taken on a boat to a place where dolphins meet - a very pleasant sight. Dolphins seem to know that they have come to see them, they begin to make all sorts of somersaults!
Fishing (at sunrise, night, deep sea) - the price is the same. Of course, no one guarantees you a catch, but you will still enjoy the process.
In addition to daily free snorkeling trips, there are also paid ones - 35 dollars / person. The difference is that in the first case you swim for an hour at one reef, in the second you swim for an hour at three different ones. Masks and snorkels are provided free of charge. By the way, you can swim with a mask without going anywhere. From the side of the water bungalows there is something to see. The problem is that there is not enough water. You practically walk through the corals at low tide, and at high tide the situation is not much better. Be careful - there are a lot of moray eels, hedgehogs and other living creatures, which hardly anyone wants to crawl through with their belly!
Paradise of Adam and Eve-210dol for two. You are taken on a flower-decorated boat to a desert island with drinks and snacks and left for several hours alone with the island and each other. There are two sun loungers on the island, an umbrella on the beach. In the bushes there is a canopy with a table and two chairs. If not for the abundance of garbage, everything would be great. If you do, bring beach towels.
There is an excursion to the island to the locals.
SPA is good.
General recommendations:
ALWAYS use a cream with a factor of at least 30!! ! The sun is very hot, even if it is behind the clouds! Believe me, you will tan with a factor of 40 or even 50! When you swim with a mask, put on a T-shirt, because. the cream is washed off quickly and you will burn instantly. Don't ruin your vacation!
Special rubber shoes are very useful - corals are sharp, there are sea urchins and all kinds of living creatures, which are better not to step on at all, and even more so barefoot.
High humidity, everything dries for a long time, keep this in mind when collecting clothes.

All prices indicated for excursions, in the mini-bar and so on. do not include taxes and service fees. I don’t know the exact figures, out of the 1000 dollars we spent, about 70 were taxes.
There is nothing to buy in the Maldives. As souvenirs - magnets, tea, spices. All this can be bought at the airport in Male. And the prices are even lower than the hotel shop.
The Maldives is a rather expensive resort, the prices for everything are too high, often unjustifiably, be prepared for this!
Have a nice holiday!
