The NYX Cancun is located in the middle of the hotel zone on the long side of the 7-ki. Since there are many foreigners and especially Americans in the hotel who always leave generous tips, the staff expects you to tip too. Although if you do not give them on principle, you will also be served with a smile, but perhaps a little slower than the others. The food at the hotel is original, breakfast is a buffet, always meat, sausages, sausage, cheese. cottage cheese, muesli, yogurt, fruits: fresh papaya, pineapple, two types of melons, apples, no watermelon, hard oranges. Sjj, ot fresh fruits are given from morning until evening. Here they wrote about freshly squeezed juices for breakfast, this is not true, juices in coolers, from bottles, but of very good quality. Tea bags and instant coffee are everywhere, but it is better not to drink. EXCURSIONS Regarding excursions - there are many of them, for every taste, they are all expensive, designed for lazy Americans. Before the trip, we read in one of the reviews about NYX that our tourists used a private Russian-speaking excursion company in Cancun, we contacted them, took the coordinates of the company - here is their mail{ sofacancun@mail. ru, skype olik059 }, and immediately booked a trip from Russia to Chichen Itza-Valladolid-cenote Ik Kil-tequila factory. we had a group of 5 people in a minibus and the price was a pleasant surprise, no one was in a hurry and no one was pushing us, and we didn’t waste time driving to “adjustable” shops. and fully devoted time to sightseeing places !!!! ! And Pegasus collects big buses with noisy Americans and it costs a lot. The excursion to Chichen Itza did not make a big impression, you can’t climb the pyramids, but you can climb the pyramid in Kobe and take great pictures from above !!!! ! but Chichen Itza has some of the cheapest souvenirs, that’s for sure. Cenote Ik-Kil is the most famous and hyped cenote, everything is well equipped: locker rooms, storage boxes, life jackets for those who wish, cafes and souvenirs. The Tequila Factory is just a decoration that shows how production was established. Lunch is always in a restaurant on the beach with a menu, mostly American fast food (hamburgers and french fries) and Mexican fajitas, ceviche, enchelados, but adapted to Europeans. No particularly spicy Mexican dishes have been seen, but Tabasco or Habanero sauce can always be brought. From seafood for lunch, squid in batter, shrimp and marinated fish. The lunch menu changes periodically, they make paella on the fire or grilled meat. Dinner either at the main buffet restaurant or at the à la carte beach restaurant, but requires a reservation at lunchtime on the day of visit. For dinner we went mainly to a restaurant on the beach, the menu is always the same, it can get boring in 2 weeks, but what kind of service. BEACH. The beach for such a small hotel is quite clean and large, until 10 am you can always find free sunbeds, after 10.00 contact the guy who gives out towels, and he will immediately bring you sunbeds from the second pool, which almost no one uses. The location of the hotel is very good, to Coco Bongo and Las Americas shopping center - 5 min. , to the center of Cancun 20-25 minutes on any of the buses R1 and R2, which run throughout the hotel area.
