MYTHS ABOUT MEXICO
I read a lot of reviews about Cancun . . I got the impression that the vast majority of them are scribbled by travel agency employees in hours free from clients, where the name of the company appears, everything is immediately clear! Avoid these, my advice to you!
myth 1: everything is cheap in mexico. fuck it! sorry for my french! everything is very expensive, from excursions and entertainment to clothes and souvenirs! (compared to other famous resorts)
2: historical artifacts. Mexico is simply full of Mayan pyramids and the same villages, BUT! There is only one really worthwhile excursion! This is Chichen Itza! EVERYTHING else, such an impression, was blinded 30-40 years ago... just when Cancun was founded . . (read the history of the city and why the Mexican government rebuilt it) . . in general, everything else is scanty and primitive)
3: Mexicans are kind and disinterested. ha ha ha! just not in the resort area! it’s in Cancun that they try to talk to you even in the grocery store! check the change without leaving the cash register, as they say!... not all, just a little) so that it was imperceptible) I heard from several people on the bus on the way to the airport, everyone lost 100 dollars each.
4: seafood lovers: terribly scarce and expensive!
and finally: everything can be found there and cheaply and with high quality! but !!! ! just not in ZONA HOTELLERA (this is where your hotel will be) go to DOWN TOWN, everything is there and much cheaper, for tequila, only in hypermarkets, but again in the down town, where only Mexicans go! 100 pesos (250-300r) for a liter CASADORES, and in a gift box, that's a more or less adequate price for this drink there!
Appreciate your money if you really earn it, and don’t steal it! Count, bargain, look better! Even Mexicans have magnets from $4 (these are the ones that you are not ashamed to attach to the refrigerator)))) but it’s really hard to find and for 1 bucks! ))
rent a car and have a good trip !! ! we traveled almost everything in 5 days! the movement is understandable, markings and lights are everywhere! Signs and signs are present in abundance! if they understand you, they will tell you.
