Previously, we drove through Mexico (tour 5 civilizations-9 days) and was in the mood to relax. The specifics of the BARCELO hotel ---- 5 hotels on the territory, all are marked as 5 *, but only the Palace Deluxe (extreme) and the neighboring one (a little cheaper, but I do not recommend) are such. Palace Deluxe --- can be compared in terms of well-groomed territory, rooms, with the most expensive segment of Turkish 5 *, as for food, here it is an order of magnitude higher both in quality and in assortment (only less pastries). All other 5* are variations of the averages from 5- to 4-. 27.11 - the beginning of the season (not a single rain for the whole time), occupancy is 30%, so in the evening there was enough space for everyone in a la carte restaurants, the main restaurant rested in the evenings or you could go add it to any neighboring "main" - what we sometimes they did. We visited a Brazilian and French restaurant ---- I recommend not to waste time in the Brazilian one (a lot of meat and not interesting), but the FRENCH one needs to be visited repeatedly. Most of all I liked the lobsters - very tasty cooked. We didn't get to the Caribbean restaurant. The hotel is very good for families. 70% of the territory of the Palace Deluxe hotel is swimming pools, in a large number and huge sizes (depth-1.20), with a jacuzzi and hydromassage. Who needs a party and discos - it's better to go to CANCUN, there are entertainment in the hotel - contests for children and light animation. In the pier area you can take a segway, ride (2.5 hours - 36 USD) The length of the hotel's coastline is 1800m. The food is excellent, at breakfast we counted 11 types of fresh juices (from pumpkin and carrots to papaya and pineapple). At lunch - there were 2 restaurants (the set of dishes offered is different) - a huge assortment of meat and seafood. Who has the opportunity and desire ---- before the rest, take a ride in Mexico (tour) - I really liked the outback of the OAXACA region, SAN CRISTOBAL, the settlements in which today's descendants of the Indians live, etc. Best wishes and a pleasant stay!
