We have long dreamed of flying to Mexico, and even more so in anticipation of the declared end of the Mayan calendar and, accordingly, the end of the world. Travel agency Southern Cross, air carrier Transaero. Travel time is almost 13 hours. I want to note right away that the only problem in this trip is the 9-hour time difference with Moscow, that is, if it is 12 noon in Mexico, 3 am in Moscow, adaptation took place, probably only on the fifth day. Otherwise, a wonderful hotel, with a huge and very well-groomed territory, beautiful white beaches, very friendly and helpful staff, a large number of exotic animals on the territory. The food is excellent, both at the buffet and in numerous restaurants, a good selection of alcoholic drinks in the bars.
Were on an excursion to Chichen Itza - the ancient capital of the Maya, located 180 km from Cancun, by bus 3 hours, very interesting, but perhaps lucky with the guide.
As for staying at the hotel, it's pretty decent, not a luxury, of course, but everything you need is there, upon arrival they give a fruit basket.
In general, I recommend.
