I think it would be unfair to leave a review in this form, since the island itself is good, there are places to go and things to see. So.
Nature.
It was a dry season and deciduous trees stood like we have in autumn. However, all the "exotic" was as usual green. If you have been to other places in Southeast Asia, then you will not experience much delight. Bali is much more exotic and magnificent, Sri Lanka is much more diverse (it is clear - it is more! ), Thai is generally moth-like. But still! If you rent a car, you can more carefully, and, most importantly, without the fuss and crowds, get acquainted with nature and with other hotels and beaches. It is very lucky to come to visited places at extraordinary times. There are no people, employees are not yet in the subject, animals and birds are not plugged with fingers, cameras and food. Everything is fresh and unexpected. It's morning. In the evening, before sunset (6.6. 30 pm) is the best time on the beach. The temperature is comfortable, the sun does not burn, the tan is gentle, the water is beautiful. Jellyfish spoil these pleasures. Ads hang in all decent hotels.

There are also hermit crabs of small age, which dig empty shells with sharp processes, crawling out to the surf line. It hurts to step on such shells. Fruit imported (mostly), but tasty. With vegetables, as everywhere in South Asia - a problem, but the restaurants serve simply magical salads, with amazingly tasty dressing.
Lots of wild monkeys. If you communicate with them from the car, then everything is just great. They are funny and hilarious. Photos will come out great! Birds are simply unique, but you need to be able to see them. Mangrove forests are interesting, but not as grandiose as, for example, in Sri Lanka. The islands are beautiful - there are many of them and they are of different sizes. Flowers are not very many, maybe not the season? But, we found several species that have not been seen anywhere before.
The waterfalls are interesting. And those 7 wells, and a separate one in the north. We also stopped in a grove of rubber trees. And banana plantations.
The species composition of fish is not large, but interesting, especially in mangrove forests. We saw monitor lizards, although we were told that they were rare, dolphins - our boatman himself was stunned, and immediately composed a legend about the island of dolphins. Hornbills, squirrels, iguanas.
Entertainment. "The salvation of the drowning is the work of the drowning themselves. " Do not wait for excursions and guides. Drive yourself. Convenient, comfortable, profitable. The island is not big, in two days behind the wheel you will know it as your microdistrict. The traffic is not big, everyone drives carefully.

Ropeway. Necessarily! Like it. On a boat through the mangroves. A thing, especially if you get a good guide (boatman). The fish farm is just amazing. Floating pantone base with cages with fish. Stingrays eat from your hand, archers knock off sticky bread, tear it off your finger, other fish just champ loudly and for a long time, chewing a piece of fish from your fingers. Monkeys jumping into the water for corn chips, eagles being fed, fish across the islands eating flakes from their hands and feet in the water. In general, the tour is good. And you can negotiate for less. My boatman and I arranged for the next 2 days of fishing just for a ridiculous price. The rest - by car with a card in hand. Yes! Oceanarium! Lovers of nature and fish will have a lot of fun! Crocodile farm is a waste of time. But, you can - for "tick"
Fishing. They offer trolling and reefing. Expensive and no guarantee of catching a trophy. Yes, and not sports. Although, there are lovers to bait the sea, drinking beer in the shade. I'll tell you right away - the beer will be expensive. We chose the tactics of moving from island to island. On a spinning rod from a boat, we caught small stone perches, a small tuna was hooked, but it deftly cut the line on the stones. There were bites of small (up to 1 kg) long, super-fast fish, but it was not possible to bring them out. In general, there are fish, you need to be able to catch. It was not an end in itself for us. But, we were quite satisfied with those perches.
Food.
There are a lot of cafes, they cook, in general, everywhere is good. I can tell where I didn't like it. All Chinese sea foods. If the food in them is still somewhere normal, then the staff is just "cadres"! (I wanted to write more rudely!!! ) The stupid "daddy welcome" advertised by someone on the internet is a barn that stinks of lamb, full of mosquitoes. For some reason, Indian restaurants were empty. Lots of Italian. They are more expensive. I thought our pizza tasted better. They put canned ham in there. The restaurant of the USSR scared the Motherland with its naturalness. Drunken Russians yelled at the entire port of karaoke. The music was blaring, just like ours, so that it was impossible to talk. My wife liked the borscht. I don’t think you have to travel so far to sip cabbage compote, for crazy money. Be careful in seafood restaurants! Especially with shrimp. Under spicy sauces, stale foods are easily served. Have a bad experience! Eat plenty of fruit. Mangoes are simply magical, take those that are softer. Pineapples are not very sweet, but juicy and fragrant. Try sprinkling a slice of peeled pineapple with salt, pepper, ground chili. It is better to mix everything in advance and sprinkle with the finished mixture. You will be surprised! Alcohol here is pleasantly varied and not expensive. The selection of wines was especially varied.

Little things.
Sockets with three holes (Ground connector - top hole - opens the bottom two), standard for all of Asia. If there are no adapters at the reception, then press the top hole with a pencil and insert the plug. Everything works. Yes! There is a switch on the side, you need to turn on the outlet.
Repellents were not needed, but biting insects are still on the street.
Shops and everything else open from 10 am.
Café s crowd people after 2000. If you want to eat right, come at 1930 or after 2100. You can bring your own drink to cafes (not all).
Drink only bottled water, brush your teeth with it too.
