The yacht was built in the middle of the century in Germany. All the locals had sincere respect when they found out that I had a cabin room booked on this yacht. Recreation is considered prestigious there and, as a rule, only wealthy Malaysians can afford it. More often they limit themselves to dinner on this yacht during sunset. Booking a cabin from their website is almost impossible. When leaving the application there, no one answered me, so I had to make a reservation from the booking site. The cheapest cabin really costs a lot of money - $ 230 per day (if you take more than one day, then the price per day is a little cheaper), but at least once in my life on my birthday, I decided that I could treat myself.
Impressions are really fabulous. You are taken from land by car, brought to one of the ports and the boat delivers you straight to the yacht. Even in the distance you can see her silhouette with three masts and you understand that this is your yacht, on board of which you will step in a few minutes. Met on board as expected with a welcome delicious drink, issued. We were asked to pay in cash, which is strange, at the time of checkout, no deposits were required. The staff brought things into the cabin and took a short tour of the yacht.
In the end, about the yacht itself. There are few cabins for guests. In addition to mine, I saw guests from 4 cabins there, all mostly Europeans. Due to the small number of people, it seems that the yacht is completely yours. 3 types of cabins. All are small, but decorated beautifully and tastefully. In the cabin: a bed (in my economical one - a bed plus another bed, which resembles the top bunk in a train compartment, only much more comfortable and completely hidden in a decorative panel), toilet, shower, wardrobe. There is no safe, TV or refrigerator. On board there are: a restaurant, a bar and tables on the deck, a very comfortable library, a lounge with TVs, easy chairs and sofas, a piano and a bar. The upper deck is equipped for relaxation: sun loungers are installed. There is also a recreation area at the stern: the bollards are covered with wood so that they form comfortable benches and a table, a canvas awning is stretched over all this from the sun. The yacht runs on a clear route with several anchorages. The cost of the cabin included breakfast. Free of charge was the opportunity to use their boat, which can deliver to any beach, climb the masts (but we did not have time to do this), dive from the yacht. I was pleasantly surprised that the deck bar has a very well-chosen music that sounds relaxed during the cruise. It is very pleasant, sipping juice, to look at the exotic islands slowly floating overboard, a beautiful sunset. It's worth it!!!
To be completely objective, then of course it was not without its minuses.
Perhaps the weakest point of this hotel-yacht is food. For the money, you could do better. As I mentioned, breakfast is included in the room rate, but it is also proposed to redeem the so-called “all inclusive package”, which costs $ 100 per room. In fact, this is not the “all inclusive” that we are used to in Egypt and Turkey, it’s just 3 meals a day based on set meals, i. e. typical for hotels "full board" in a truncated version. Although this yacht is a favorite place to organize dinners with a view of the sunset, they do not have enough food supply, because. when choosing an a la carte dinner, they could not provide the same steak, citing a lack of supplies. There are no bottled water, kettle, tea/coffee bags in the cabin, i. e. everything is done for you to order drinks at the bar. Although we must pay tribute to the day at the bar is a glass container with free drinking water. In general, my advice, if you are budget tourists and decide to stay on a yacht for more than one day, stock up on a supply of your favorite drinks and food, but keep in mind that there is no refrigerator in the cabin. In principle, with a long stay, at least every day on a boat to go to the mainland and replenish supplies on your own or just eat on the shore. However, keep in mind that despite the small flaws, you don’t want to leave the yacht-hotel at all. After all, meeting the sunset and contemplating the exotic islands passing by you is captivating, you are completely in another world. From the porthole of the cabin you see the emerald sea water, and on the horizon you can see the jungle of the same color. Personally, I was a little inspired by the movie "In Search of Captain Grant" and the journey on the ship "Duncan". The eagles soaring in the distance reminded me of a scene from this film where a condor carried Robert away. If Dunaevsky's music were heard from the bar speakers, then there would be a complete immersion in the world of dreams.
But the daydreaming eventually ended the next day, when it was necessary to pack up and rush to the flight home. The release went through instantly. In advance, the staff asked when it was time to get to the airport, they clearly delivered to the ground and drove to the airport, stopping at our request at the fruit market in order to skimp on fruit home. A day on the yacht became one of the most vivid impressions during the trip, and I do not regret a single dollar that I spent.
