The weather was great all day.
We rented a Borneo Room overlooking the sea.
Hotel pros:
- The ocean is just super (water during the day is about 40 degrees)
- Great beach
- There are no merchants on the beaches
- Beautiful vegetation
- Monitor lizards, boxes run around the hotel, fish swim in the lakes, crabs run along the beach
- Large territory
- Nice interior
- Good maintenance and service
- Free Internet in the room (it feels like the speed is somewhere around 256 Kb)
- Pleasant staff
- Good (but not cheap) spa treatments and massages
Cons and nuances:
- specific food (my wife really liked the food at the hotel, but I couldn’t eat anything at all). Mostly strangely cooked seafood.
- everything is quite expensive (dinner at the hotel for two without alcohol is about $ 80-90 (230-270 rhinitis)). Souvenirs are generally 5-10 times more expensive than in the markets outside the hotel.
- the rooms have inconvenient and strange control of light and electrical appliances
- some cottages overlooking the garden are located very unfortunate. They either have a view of the staff car park or the constant loud hum of the air conditioning systems located next to them.
- water activities in the hotel are pretty good in themselves, but the fact that they are located not in the bay where the hotel is located, but in the lagoon (practically a lake connected to the ocean)
