acquaintance with the Philippine Islands began with the island of Bohol. as for catholic christmas we booked everything for boracay (the dream was like that for a couple of years). then they decided to rehearse the rest on some other island, since there are enough of them in the Philippines. )
Initially, we were going to Cebu, but the tour company offered us Bohol. (I did not know about such an island before). on our dates, the airline had promotional ticket prices, we flew for a penny. according to the advertisements, we were shown and told everything. The hotel took the one that was advised in the office.
the flight was carried out by the airline Tin air (Zest air), such an ordinary airplane, it takes an hour to fly. there is no food on board. for a fee, they offer water, chips, nuts or mivina.
the driver met us at the airport, we ordered a transfer from the hotel.

first impression of Bohol - I was in the movie Avatar. I have never seen so much greenery and so many shades of green. The island is without a doubt the most beautiful I have ever seen.
the hotel is beautiful, clean, stylish. listed as 3 *, but I could not rate it. stardom, for example, Turkish or Egyptian hotels cannot be applied here. not according to the state, not according to the services provided.
the hotel is small. infrastructure only restaurant and swimming pool. And, most importantly, the beach. actually they came for him.
the food concept was only breakfasts. they are normal by Filipino standards, but miserable by Turkish standards.
We didn't eat at the hotel, because at lunch we always went to see the sights or just to restaurants.
the beach is clean, there are few sunbeds. even fewer people. there are water sports. we took jet ski.
in the restaurant on the beach you can order food, soft drinks, etc. we took ice cream. Looks good, taste was not impressive. there was more ice than ice cream, juice and all the fillers. on the beach you can find starfish.
from the restaurants near the hotel I can advise the Italian Giuseppe. very tasty for a reasonable price. food at the hotel is more expensive and, as the Serbs told us, it is not very good there.
animation is represented by evening walks along the coastline or a trip to the city, of course, at the initiative of tourists.
on excursions. it is difficult to describe them - it must be seen. since during our stay it was either rain or sun, we still succumbed to the agitation of everyone around and went on excursions.
according to the plan were 1. Tarshirov Reserve 2. River Cruise 3. Zip Line 4. and Chocolate Hills. but because of the rains, it was not possible to quickly drive along the mountain roads of Bohol, plus we had to wait out the rain everywhere - we didn’t get to the Chocolate Hills due to lack of time, and we got to the Zip Line, but didn’t ride because it was heavy rain, then weak, and then we got tired of waiting.

The Tarshirov Reserve is a rather specific place. Tarshiers are the smallest monkeys in the world, the size of hamsters. in appearance, as for me, this is something between the elf Dobby from Harry Potter and Gollum from the Lord of the Rings. there are 10 tarshiers themselves in the reserve. Near each is an employee of the reserve. you can’t touch it, take photos with a flash too, you can’t even speak loudly there, only in a whisper. as the guide told us, these animals are suicidal, very loud sounds either scare them or something else and they can lay hands on themselves. I never understood if he was joking or not, because the sounds of the jungle and insects were quite loud. there is one tarshire super star there - you can take pictures with him for money. the fact is that the location of these tarshirs is such that you won’t see it the first time. and it’s quite difficult to take a photo against the background of this crumb sitting on a branch 1-2 meters away from you. the aunt will put you where you need for money and click your camera so that the little animal is in the foreground, and you are behind. the only problem is that either you or the little animal will be out of focus. at the exit from the reserve there is a mini souvenir market. Naturally, everything with tarshiers - from magnets to clothes.
the next day we went on a river cruise. it is very beautiful. the ticket price includes a buffet, live music and a couple of stops along the way, where local children will introduce you to the folklore of the island, and local dogs will put on a show - they swim up to you and grab food that you throw at them on the fly. only we threw meat to them, the locals looked at us as if they were crazy, everything was fine for us, we cleaned our karma. drinks on the cruise for a fee. the cruise lasts about an hour. it's worth seeing. nature is very beautiful.
it is very difficult to describe everything you see on this island - you need to feel it yourself. that's why we went there 3 more times.
To the attention of smokers - hide lighters in your luggage, otherwise they will take them away. it totally amazed me. when departing from Manila, the presence of a lighter in your pocket does not bother anyone, but when departing from the airports of small islands - Cebu, Bohol, Boracay, etc. , the lighters will be taken from you.
