Rested at Willy's Beach Club in August 2010. They were very afraid to fly there in August, because they had read that in summer and in September it rains very often there. But we were only half lucky. In total, we spent 15 days on the island, 10 of which were sunny and calm, but the rest of the days "pleased" us with all the charms of the so-called "off season". Because of this, during our stay there, the hotel area was separated from the beach by plastic barriers (so that the sand did not fly onto the tables where we ate, because they are located right on the sand, at the reception), our paid "sea view " turned out to be appropriate. During the season, all fences are removed. But this is of course nonsense, because we flew to Boracay not to sit in the room and admire the delights of the island from the balcony)) Literally leaving the room, we immediately found ourselves on a wonderful beach with crystal clear waters of the Sulu Sea.
Opposite the hotel there is a stone against which all tourists consider it their duty to take pictures. Next to Willy's Beach Club is the FRIDAYS hotel, and some 5 more, which are much more expensive. But we didn't see the point in overpaying. The beach is the same for everyone, from food we still had only breakfast. You can have lunch and dinner and you should! in different places, so as not to be tied to the hotel and time. The benefit of the choice of restaurants and cafes is a great variety for every budget. Of course, there are more beautiful and pretentious hotels on the island, with pools and waterfalls, but believe me, you will not suffer at all due to the lack of a pool in the hotel. To overcome such a path to bathe in bleach is probably, to put it mildly, just stupid. After all, the sea in Boracay is always warm and clean. We swam in the rain and at night. Water and air are always about the same temperature. Swimming in the sea has never brought me such pleasure as this time.
By the way, they calmly carried the packages past the reception and no one said a word. The main thing is to carefully remove everything eaten in the room and tighten it tightly into a bag (otherwise you risk finding a bunch of hungry ants in your room))). The room that we booked (Deluxe with sea view) has a private balcony with a kettle, with daily replenished tea-drinking accessories, there is also a couch (where on a rainy day it is very pleasant to lie down with a book in the fresh air). In the rest of the rooms there is a common balcony, a walk-through, where other people's swimwear and swimming trunks are dried)). When our air conditioner broke, we were moved to one of these rooms for one night. So I advise, if possible, to book a Deluxe room instead of a standard one.

As for the location of the hotel, then of course there are pluses and minuses (as in general, probably always and everywhere). The hotel is located at the first (of three) stations of the white beach.
To the supermarket and the main street with cafes and main entertainment, it was necessary to walk a decent distance from the hotel along the beach. I can only say that it was a pleasure to walk along it (on the contrary, I was glad that I could leisurely walk barefoot on clean sand, on warm water, after a hearty dinner, passing by one cafe after another with tables and pouffes placed right on the beach and standing right on the sand))). But if you don’t feel like walking, then you can easily get to any point of the island on a tricycle (well, there are a lot of them). You just need to raise your hand. The fare for locals costs 7 pesos, and they stuff themselves into this tricycle to capacity, but if a tourist raises his hand, then he is taken alone, and he pays 6-7 times more than a local resident. But a few days later we saw through them and began to bargain. They have such a huge competition among themselves for the right to get a “client” that they quickly agree to your price)).
In general, there were no inconveniences from the fact that our hotel was almost the most extreme from the center. But we thought that our beach was the cleanest and least crowded. And this is definitely a plus. And you could have a bite to eat without reaching the center, there were also many decent places near the hotel. The only negative of the hotel, in our opinion, is that the breakfasts were on the menu. There were only 3 combo breakfast options to choose from. Fish or meat with rice and an egg, the second option is toast with jam and again an egg and some kind of muesli (to be honest, they never took it). So, in order to fill up with breakfast, I had to make a choice in favor of a combination with rice.
Less than a week later, of course, we got tired of this business and we began to skip breakfasts at the hotel ...In general, the staff always made concessions, breakfast ended at 10:30, but we only came by this time (of course, the last ones), but we were never drove away, and with a smile took the order. And in general, every time passing by the reception, the smile of the charming girls at the counter was guaranteed)). They also always offered an umbrella if it was raining outside. And when we left the hotel, they brought us all sorts of different drinks for free and let us read the latest Philippine press)))). A trifle, but nice). Summing up the above, I will say that the price of the hotel corresponds to the quality. There was nothing to complain about. With the choice of the hotel, we were not mistaken. I recommend it to everyone. And of course we were not mistaken with the choice of this wonderful island for our vacation.

We will remember it all our lives, like a beautiful fairy tale that once happened to us .. .
