The impressions from the trip were the most wonderful. I will say right away that Thailand is not close. Thailand compared to the Philippines is a big dump. The Philippines wins in everything. It has a very comfortable climate. There is no such heat as in Thailand. And in the evening, even a pleasant coolness. The water is pure and refreshing. In Thailand, it is dirty and differs little from the air temperature. There are restaurants at every step where you can eat tasty and inexpensive. I read in the reviews that in the Philippines for $ 10 you can eat well. They didn't cheat.

The route we chose through Seoul.

We spent 5 hours at the Seoul airport. A very good airport, a huge number of Duty Free shops, whole kilometers. The cleanliness is perfect. Although on the way back we had lunch at the Green Food cafe, there was terrible dirt there. At first they did not see it, and then it was too late to leave.

We got a good cafe there. Drank excellent draft German beer. 9 bucks for a glass of 0.5 liters.

All major purchases were made at the Seoul airport. The great shopping experience promised in the Philippines was not exactly great. The same China.

From Seoul to Manila flew 3 hours 15 minutes on a 747 Boeing.

Huge city with skyscrapers. 18 million inhabitants. Huge traffic jams. There are almost no traffic lights. The movement of cars - they drive as they should, they are rebuilt as they want. Cars squeeze through the smallest gap. Drivers behave calmly, let each other through. For such a ride, we would definitely have been stuffed in the face.

I read in reviews that Manila is a city of contrasts. I wouldn't say. Here there is no such flashy luxury as in Moscow, for example. Everything is soundly, beautifully done, but without gloss. The streets are clean. But somehow it's still gray, despite the numerous advertisements. We drove past areas where houses are made of tin sheets and all sorts of waste. There is terrible poverty. But these areas are somehow on the outskirts of Manila.

Although we saw a rather large territory in the center of the city, but which huddled about a hundred huts, assembled from cardboard and trash. In the middle of this shit is a mosque. The guide explained that poor Muslims live here.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The hotel is new and great. They say it's 5 star. The rooms are huge (60 sqm). Well trained staff. For everyone, you are a sir, even if you are Vasya Piskin from Zakholuysk. A trifle, but nice. There is a huge shopping center next to the hotel. It can be accessed directly from the hotel through the passage on the 4th floor. Our girls did not like this shopping center, they are a little stuck, give them brands. The guide asked us why we chose this hotel, because this hotel is located in a new area, where there is only one shopping center. They usually stay at the Inter Continental Manila Hotel, which is located in an area consisting of only shopping centers. Our girls only made purchases there.

To these shopping centers by taxi about 20 minutes, and if during rush hour, then all 1.5 hours. The problem is to catch a taxi, especially near shopping centers. You can stand for hours to take a taxi. It's good that the police helped us. They see that foreigners cannot leave, and they themselves stop the car for us. There are a lot of guards and police there. In every shopping center there are frames at the entrance, like in airports. Looking at bags. Inspect all cars parked in underground parking lots. Security issues are of particular concern here.

In Manila, we booked 2 excursions - a sightseeing tour of the city ($ 36 per person) and to waterfalls ($ 110 per person). If you do not go around the city, you will not lose much. But a trip to the waterfalls is an unforgettable sight. The price also includes lunch. The trip to the waterfalls is 2.5 hours. 2 hours at the falls. Total 7 hours. Maybe someone will find it tedious, but you will not regret it. They brought us to a hotel on the banks of a narrow stream.

Then, on a long narrow kayak, 2 rowers took us upstream. After a couple of minutes, we, along with other similar kayaks, were hooked up to a motor boat. They took it to the threshold. Then the rowers themselves dragged us over the rapids. Beauty is awesome. On one side of the river there are hotels, and on the other side there is a real jungle. Then we get into the canyon. On both sides are huge sheer cliffs, as high as an average skyscraper. Waterfalls flow in some places of these skyscrapers. Our rowers are dragging us over huge boulders. Only now you understand why they have such narrow boats. Finally we swim to the main waterfall. We land on the rocks. Who wants to, can for 90 pesos (45 rubles) on a raft to pass under the waterfall. The raft stops right under the waterfall. Good water massage.

In Manila, we were recommended to go to the Zamboanga seafood restaurant.

You can get into the restaurant only by order, because it is small and popular. Our guide called on the phone and booked a table for us. We didn't regret it. Very good restaurant, although not cheap. From 20 o'clock. the Philippine National Ensemble performs there. Until that time, 3 musicians (2 guitarists and 1 seems to be a smuggler) come up to the tables and sing songs. Very romantic. Upon learning that we were Russians, they sang for us Black Eyes and Moscow Evenings. We ordered them more "Cucaracha" and "Mucho". They gave them 500 pesos. They were very pleased. When the national ensemble performed on the stage, they not only sang and danced there, but also dragged us onto the stage. They were forced to dance with them. It was a lot of fun. We ordered 2 lobsters for 470 pesos per 100 grams. They cost us 11.000 pesos. For comparison, in Thailand a lobster costs at least 200 bucks, and in Korea 300 bucks. Dinner cost us 19.000 pesos for 4. This is approximately 9.5 thousand rubles. Tips are included in the bill.

It was the most expensive restaurant, but we did not regret it. So great fun. Lunches in other restaurants in Manila cost us about 1200 pesos for two. We ate at good restaurants. From alcohol they took local beer "San Miguel" and tequila. It is unprofitable to take tequila in restaurants - 150 pesos for 30 gr. a glass. A liter bottle of tequila in the store costs 1000 pesos. At Barakai, the same bottle costs 1200.1600 and 1800 pesos. Each store is different.

From Manila, they arrived by plane on about. Caticlan. 35 min. flying on a Boeing. We flew back on a small plane for 1 hour. Even from the plane we saw the purest water. Then on their national boat for 10 min. took us to about. Boracay.

about. Boracay.

We moored to the shore where the locals live and there is a pier. The recreation area is located on the back side of the island. Although there are many vacationers who are fond of boarding and paragliding. The fact is that the wind always blows from this side.

In about 7 minutes we were brought to the REGENCY hotel. The hotel is the largest on the island and is located in the very center of the beach. That is, in the center of all restaurants and shops located on the coast of the island. The location of the hotel is very good. The staff, as in Manila, is very well trained. The most interesting thing is that they are all actively learning Russian. They ask us how it will be in Russian, like that. Soon they greeted us already in Russian. "Good morning", "have a nice rest", "good evening" - we heard every day. A trifle, but nice. In general, Filipinos are very friendly. They especially treat us Russians well.

We were first given a room on the first floor of the second new building. When we entered the room, we almost fell over. It looks like you are in a basement. The room is dark and damp. The sun does not set in the room, because the window rests on the neighboring building. And under the windows there are thickets of flowers and a pond with fish.

We were indignant and went to the reception for a showdown. We were told that we had booked standard rooms. But they made a concession and moved to the 2nd and 3rd floors of the same building. Rooms in new buildings without balconies, except for one that overlooks the sea. The rooms were the same, but already sunny and dry. Information on the Internet that all hotel rooms with balconies and sea views is clearly outdated. This applies to old buildings. In general, the rooms are quite cozy and comfortable, it is a pity that without a balcony. Spacious bathroom with shower. Those who lived in the 3rd new building were very unlucky. Their windows overlook a new building under construction. The old buildings are located perpendicular to the sea, so the rooms overlook the sea. The new buildings are located parallel to the sea, but not along the coast, but inland.

The buffet is rather weak, about 15-20 items of dishes. Not to be compared with Manila, where there are more than 100 kinds of dishes.

The poor waiters are bored, the Indian is sitting dejectedly - apparently the owner of the establishment. In general, there are a great many restaurants, the choice is huge. In some restaurants in the evening they give a buffet for 400 pesos. But we don't need it. We are with money and choose the best. We saw Russians on the island a couple of times. We are very easy to distinguish from others by the table. If the table is littered with food, then these are definitely Russians. We were often substituted with additional tables, because there was not enough space.

Especially nice to sit in the evening, on the beach. Candles are burning on the tables, the sea is nearby. Romance. We sit, gorge ourselves, eat lobsters, huge shrimp, drink beer and tequila. And Koreans sit nearby and sip beer and eat nuts. Here is the real contrast. Once in the cafe "Kristina" we ordered the most expensive dish without looking. They brought a huge steak garnished with huge shrimp. There was a couple sitting nearby, apparently Koreans.

The girl, seeing our dish, began to look for it in the menu, apparently wanted to order. But when she saw the price, she sighed and shook her head. Although it's not clear to me. The dish cost only 855 pesos (about 400 rubles).

I really liked the restaurant of Chinese, Korean and Japanese food in the hotel. Awesome soups, meat. After overeating seafood, we escaped here.

You can eat or drink right on the beach. One has only to raise your hand, as the waiter from the cafe "Kristina" will come running to you. By the way, tips are included in the bill. But we gave them tips beyond that. For us, this is a trifle, but tipping is nice.

Lots of merchants trying to sell you all kinds of Rachmaninov shit. They have any watch, including a Rolex for 1000 rubles, glasses from Guchi for 300 rubles. But they are not clingy. Just say thank you and smile. They smile and walk away.

But one has only to look at them, or, God forbid, to point at them, they happily run to you with their junk, thinking that you want to buy something from them. I bought a couple of watches from them as gifts. Nothing, still going.

There are a lot of guards, policemen, national guards on the island. All are armed with pistols and shotguns. Nobody is allowed on the territory of the hotel. There are only staff and guests. Merchants can only approach you in the alley in front of the inn. On the territory of the hotel and on the beach, they are prohibited from approaching vacationers.

There are also beggars here. They are, of course, chased, but they manage to approach unnoticed from the darkness when you sit on the seashore at a table in a restaurant and gobble up lobsters. They will stand with an outstretched hand and stand silently until the guards kick them out. This is of course very annoying. But they are few and they are fought.

Filipinos will constantly approach you, offering various services.

Somehow - ride a scooter, parachute, etc. There is no point in bargaining with them, anyway they will not remain in the loser. Example: 1 hour scooter ride costs 3500 pesos. We bargained for 2700 pesos. We were very happy. But we rode not for 1 hour, but for 45 minutes. They came up with a delivery by boat to the place of skiing. They have a platform for riding scooters in the sea, about 5 minutes. boat ride.

It makes sense to discuss all the services with them in detail. So, they offered us fishing for big fish, such as barracuda. For 100 bucks. You pay money and go at least immediately. 100 bucks is pretty cool. We found some Randy who agreed to take us for 50 bucks. In addition, for this money, he offered a trip to Crocodile Island to snorkel. Also lunch with beer. We agreed. The next day in the morning we went fishing. Having left for the sea, I waved a large spinning rod for about 40 minutes, it is called, it seems rolling. Caught nothing.

Randy said that now there is no fish, it has gone into the depths. You need to catch it at 5 o'clock. morning. Clown. Before, he couldn't tell. I told him everything I think about him. The truth is in Russian, but he probably understood. He smoothed over his guilt with an excursion to Crocodile Island, where we snorkeled. The spectacle is gorgeous. There are just thousands of these fish. Then he organized a good lunch of shrimp, crabs, shells, chicken, pork. Everything is grilled. Everything is very tasty. But still, I didn't work with Randy anymore. I was most interested in fishing. But of course, I didn’t get up at 5 in the morning.

Massage can be done on the beach for 350 pesos, or in the salon for 900 or 600 pesos. 900 pesos is a saloon on the beach. But 100 meters from it, a little deeper into the island, there is a more civilized salon, where the price is already 600 pesos. We did massages in these salons and in the Mandala Spa & Villas world center. Massages differ not only in prices, but also in methods. Prices in Mandala from 58 bucks to 200 bucks per session.

Live music is played in some restaurants in the evenings.
