Kudowa-Zdró j is a small Polish resort town located on the border with the Czech Republic. A wonderful place to relax your body and soul... Especially during a bus trip : ). Stopped here in transit during a road trip to France. The town is very compact, there is only one central street, the main decoration of which is the imposing building of the Polonia sanatorium. Kudowa-Zdró j is famous for its mineral waters, which, according to knowledgeable people, are "tastier than wine"; ). The most famous local sights are: Spa Park with a pavilion of mineral waters and the old sanatorium "Zamě č ek", built at the beginning of the 19th century. The resort has such a calm, pacifying atmosphere that all the fatigue that has accumulated after a day spent on the bus, as if removed by hand. One bad thing - it was difficult to find an ATM, and the exchangers were no longer working in the evening : (. However, the local "crypts" ("shops" in Polish; )) almost everyone accepts credit cards without any problems : ).
We stayed overnight at Villa Elizabeth. This is a small beautiful building with modest but cozy rooms. In the room: TV, refrigerator and, importantly for a tired traveler, an electric kettle : ) The villa is located in the central part of the city, five minutes walk to the Kurortny Park. Also, in the immediate vicinity of the villa there is a 24-hour supermarket "Biedronka" with very affordable prices for groceries. Local food seemed to me insanely delicious. At least juices, cheese and Polish sausage left a bright mark in my gastronomic memory; ). And about beer (mmmm. . . ) I generally keep quiet : ).
I wish you all pleasant travels and bright impressions! : )
