Hotel Cleopatra is located in the very center of Lublin, a 2-minute walk from the Royal Castle and the Old Square, in an old house. The “time machine” works properly: despite the most modern interior, thanks to the surrounding historical center, the feeling that you are temporarily not in 2014, but in 1714 does not leave you. Another confirmation of the "old times" is the lack of an elevator - the rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, it's good if there are few things, but with huge suitcases it will be hard in the truest sense of the word.
Double rooms and apartments (larger area, with kitchenette). The windows overlook either the inner courtyard (it is quieter there) or Grodska Street (which is worse, since it is quite narrow and busy, and there are countless restaurants, cafes, pubs on it). We had just such an option, but the double-glazed windows in the windows reliably guarded our sleep, and we arranged cross-ventilation, leaving for a walk for the whole day.
In the room (quite large in size): air conditioning, two single beds (with a slight movement turning into one double bed, but there are rooms with one normal bed), plasma, mini-fridge, confident wi-fi, wardrobe with a bunch of clothes hangers, a table, two armchairs, a full-length mirror, a luggage rack, four 0.5 liter bottles of water (in glass, a trifle, but nice). There is no safe. In the bathroom: shower, toothbrush holder (which, according to my observations, is quite rare), heated towel rail, soap, shower gel, shampoo, air freshener (despite automatic ventilation). Two towels per brother/sister and one common towel under your feet. The bathroom is small. I think that for people of a large physique or obese, it will be cramped. But: the shower tray does not creak in the shower, the plumbing is in excellent condition, the shower, in addition to the usual horn, is also equipped with a “tropical” one. There are no robes or slippers. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms.

Accommodation costs PLN 210 per night, or PLN 160 for single occupancy. The price includes breakfast. In hryvnia equivalent, this is about 1000 hryvnia, which is in principle comparable to prices in Lviv, for example. For reference, the exchange rate of the dollar to the zloty is approximately 1:3, the hryvnia is 5:1.
The hotel is part of a complex of the hotel itself, a restaurant and a club. The restaurant serves oriental, Arabic and international cuisine. The club is located in the basement (there is a hookah menu), its guests can visit for free. In both establishments, guests receive a 20% discount.
Breakfast - buffet. Everything was served the same every morning: boiled eggs, simple and chocolate muesli, salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce with vegetable oil and some local toppings), vegetable cuts (cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers), sausages, scrambled eggs, hard cheese of 2 varieties, black and green olives, cold cuts, cottage cheese, portioned honey, jam, butter, Nutella. And yogurt, plus tea-coffee-juice-water. As for me - more than enough. And if you consider that at home, as a rule, you have breakfast with a cup of coffee and a sandwich, then even more so. To some, the breakfast menu will seem monotonous. Yes, if every day there is EVERYTHING offered - I agree. And if today you just take vegetables, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese with honey, coffee-bread-butter-jam, and tomorrow - salad, sausages, cheese-butter-bread, yogurt, tea, and the day after tomorrow muesli with milk, cold cuts, juice, vegetables , then you end up with three different hearty breakfasts, and everyone will be happy.
The hotel does not have its own parking. Alas, the movement of cars in the historical center is limited. But two minutes walk - paid parking through the parking meter.
Disadvantages - one, but it is also dignity. An old house on an old square, a narrow street, noisy with the windows open. But this is also a bonus: having woken up on Sunday morning from the noise outside the window, we looked out to see what was the matter. And they found a flea market right under the window.
Summary: An excellent choice for a stopover in Lublin to gawk at, a possible overnight stay on a business trip. The bus and railway station is about 20 minutes walk.
